Not quite as good as the Mentally Advanced Series, but it is still worth the time to watch it.

Even when she doesn't show up, Fluttershy manages to make me laugh! I wonder what these guys will do with Trixie?
I think I've finally figured out what rubs me the wrong way about this particular abridged series. I think it might have do do with the fact that all of these ponies seem to just...drip with malevolence in their interactions, no matter what they're doing- subtle or otherwise. There's just...nothing to like about these characters at all. Not even in the "like to hate them" sort of way, or in the crazy sort of way.
The fact is, if it was any other series that was used as the source besides this one, this sort of thing might work, but for some reason it just feels disjointed, and not in the good way. The only thing that even seemed to really touch base with the source material was the sleep song in the second one.
It's a shame, because they've got the pieces for a good thing here- the technical production value is pretty good! Good video quality, good editing, and they actually have a female cast to do the voices! But the actual content just doesn't seem to work, for me at least.
I'm sorry, but I have to give this series a thumbs down on my own personal taste, and if it fits yours better, then more power to you.
I love, love, love this series! Please keep making more. For me, the deadpan voice acting and slightly malevolent dialogue are precisely what makes it so funny. I think other Abridged series go for "over the top/wacky" while this one is more subtle.
Favorite parts are the running jokes like Bon Bon watering the flowers or Spike on the roof. I also think the series does a surprisingly good job of keeping each pony in character. Loved Rarity's bedtime song and the meta-commentary on fan fiction.

the voice acting is pretty good, but what's up with abridged series having vids that are up to half the length of the original episodes? I noticed that the YGO abridged series vids have started getting longer too. I feel that they're better if they're only five minutes long.

I wouldn't call this an abridged series, I'd call this a parody series.
Also, while this is funny as hell, I prefer parody/abridged series that keep to the content of the original, instead of making new plot points. But that's just my opinion. Keep up the good work!
Twilight is never actually writing to the princess or about comets or assorted science, instead she is actually writing fanfics, it's the only thing that makes any sense at all.

Unfortunately it doesn't live up to that potential. The Mentally Advanced Series has set the bar high for Abridged serieses
I laughed at some of that jokes in the 3rd one (especially the ABBAlanche) but I disagree with this being the best abridge series. The voices are well done, but the voice actors have a problem with the acting part of things. Especially with Twilight's voice, there's no real inflection in the delivery.
By comparison, the Mentally Advanced Series has somewhat weak voice acting (at least at first) but the delivery of the jokes is done much better.
Just me 2 cents.
I'll throw in with the "this is the best abridged series" side. It's just really clever, quality work, with a wicked sharp sense of humor and timing. But really, it's apples and oranges. Or, uh, different kinds of apples.
Eh, it felt really hit and miss. A lot of the jokes either didn't work, or felt like they tried too hard to make these lovable characters into heartless, mean spirited assholes. The special effects were well done at least.
It was also the first time I've thumbs downed a pony video, which I already feel bad about.

I'm afraid these are just not the ponies I fell in love with. They're really trying way too hard to make these ponies into complete assholes.
Also, what is it with abridged/parody series trying to make Rainbow Dash out to be an idiot?
And I had to remove my thumbs down. Still hated it, and having the characters be so mean spirites made me hope there will never be another edition, but I just can't thumbs down a pony video. It would eat away at my conscience like a termite to wood.

The voice acting needs work, I'm having trouble telling the mane six' voices apart. I can easily with the Mentally Advanced series (and those are all voiced by one guy!)
It seems like this has more jokes than the Mentally Advanced series, but they are less potent.
Also, the hate on Spike running gag just stopped working for me shortly after Twilight told them all to save the laughter for in Spike's face. It probably would've been funnier if they had just had the Spike hatred in the pony description montage, then suddenly again at the end.
I love Fluttershy's characterization. I think this is their best episode so far just for that.

Meh, this series isn't BAD, but it's hardly the best series ever. I still hold the SonicF team's Cameraderie is Supernatural to that rank, and then maybe Mentally is second. Still, I got some entertainment out of it, especially the ABBAlanche gag

Best ep yet by far, holy shit. The honestly/loyalty dubs, Celestia II, Rarity in Fluttershy camo, "...and there was so much dragon blood, we just slid down the mountain like a water slide!" Funny, funny stuff. Just joke after joke.

This really is the best abridged series. It's consistently funny and well-edited. It even has new songs, the one in the second episode is hilarious.
Personally find the Mentally Advanced series funnier, even if the voice actings better here. Maybe thats why I like Mentally advanced more though as it just feels more insane, a bit like yugioh abridged.
The Loyalty / Honesty mix ups felt jarring, i'm assuming it wasn't intentional. Still not bad though, and the Rarity effects were nice.
This abridged series is awesome.
This is my favorite Abridgeds so far, with the dark humor and the voices done by an actual girl.

Totally agreed. Definitely liked Cameraderie is Supernatural much more than the Mentally Advanced Series, but Friendship is Witchcraft takes the cake... and the eye candy, for that matter.
Definitely the best, the subtlest jokes around! I cannot tell you how hard I laughed at "It's my birthday!" or "You can't let a convoluted backstory keep you from helping your friends." What's more, each episode is superior to its predecessor!

ugh, this goes so far away from the original subject matter, that it can't even be considered to be a parody anymore. The best one (and technically the first) so far is definitely "Camaraderie is Supernatural." This is good, but the randomness doesn't keep my interest.

I've never seen any of these before, but I just watched all four in a row, and I have to say I'm impressed. It had great humor, and the voice acting wasn't too bad for fan dubbing.

The episode started out with the usual slow pacing, but Pinkie's stuff and what came after was hilarious. Sweetie as robot was maybe a bit too developed for not much payoff.

I love how they maintain their own continuity within the series. Fluttershy's crazy religion, Rainbow's nearsightedness, everyponys mutual hate for Spike, Rarity and AJ as war vets, Twilights fic writing, Pinkie being an orphan, ect.
This was really good, but I really wish FiMFlamFilosophy and SherclopPones would put aside their differences and parody different episodes. It seems like they've gone from friendly rivalry to drinking Hatorade. No need for that.

I've been a huge fan of FiW for a long time and I still think that it's the best abridged/parosy series there is. Great voice acting, jokes that aren't just swear words, but are actually subtle and FUNNY. Also, awesome songs and BGM.

Friendship is Witchcraft is EASILY the best Abridged. Not even close. Here's why:
- Best Production Values...BY FAR. This chick doesn't just do a damn good job with ALL the voices, she does it with a decent recording setup. Fuck that webcam microphone noise. 720p. Funny and well-crafted original songs. Sharp and complex (Fluttershy contacts, Pinkie's portal) editing. The whole thing just makes Mentally Advanced look half-assed, sorry.
- Dark, but SUBTLE, humor with the occasional scathing social commentary hidden between the lines. ^_^
- At times, a peak-Simpsons/Zucker Abrahams Zucker level of layered rapid-fire jokes!
- A hilarious sense of continuity. LORD SCHMOOVES! "Sweetie Bell"

Right there with ya on that one, Mentally Advanced is funny now and then to me, but so many times just dead pan, this gives me a smile through the whole thing, and i return and watch it over and over.

I do worry a little that Sherclop isn't having as much fun with my pointless antagonism as I am. That or that they're taking it much more seriously.
I've had a lot of experience with people reacting to that sort of thing. For example, an ex and I once learned that a hug transitions easily into a hip throw. If I got bored with hugging, I could just throw the girl on the ground and do something else, and it worked out because she'd scream and giggle about it.
However, there are always those people that hate being provoked. I don't know if they find it demeaning or what they don't like, exactly. I've built good relationships with people purely on the basis of needless provocation - for some it's very cathartic. Of concern, though, are the individuals that go along with it in a passive way, but who resent it quietly.
They're always a problem, because on one hand, messing with them makes them feel bullied. However, if I just leave them be, having figured out they don't like it, then they feel left out because I behave that way in fun with my friends.
Really, I don't know how Sherclop feels about me or the way I operate. They send me messages and stuff, but they rarely do anything publicly, and they don't do anything with their videos. They seem to tolerate, but they don't really engage much, at least not directly. Sometimes the antagonism feels kind of one-sided.
So I honestly would do a voice for them if they wanted. Or I'd switch a character, or have one of them do a voice (although none spring to mind at the moment as availabilities, since I'd have to cut a friend). Whatever is fun would be fun.
Not to mention, I just do my stuff in order, so I'm not moving to any particular interceptions. I don't know if Hatorade is actually being passed around. I do think they take criticism kind of seriously, though.

Somehow I don't find the short funny. I think there are two kinds of humor: normal humor and the enjoyment of suffering. It's easy to get the two confused and/or mixed up. Really though, the worst problem is that this is both a very cheap-gag and it's done pathetically with RD and Pinkie laughing and telling you why it's funny.
Friendship is Witchcraft is immensely clever and hilarious. The voice work is also incredibly well done. It has me spoiled. I can't watch any other abridged series because their quality just feels inferior.
Man, this is nothing next to is Camaraderie is Supernatural. This is really weak and unfunny. And I don't like being super critical because I feel like a troll but damn.

This doesn't feel like a parody, it always feels like random jokes put into the context of an MLP episode. There is hardly any love for the source material, outside of the loyalty/honesty thing that Dash and AJ play around with. This feels like Family Guy humour; comedy for the sake of comedy, without much satire at all. It seems random. Camaraderie is Supernatural was not only well done, but it was extremely meta, and intelligent, as well as gut-wrenchingly funny. It also maintained the emotions that were experienced within the context of the episodes of the show, while keeping the comedy and hammering in the points that they wanted driven in. While the first episode was essentially setup for the brilliant second (much in lieu of the source material) it still managed to be as funny and clever as any abridged/parody I've watched. If they only would finish the 3rd already, I would consider it the best parody series I've ever watched (yes even better than TFS or YGO Abridged). This? Not so much.

Friendship is Witchcraft is one of the funniest series I've ever seen. I think the alteration of the characters (esp. Pinkie) is super endearing, even if they are all Seinfeld-esque assholes to each other and Spike. The music and editing is top notch! Mentally Advanced and RBD Presents are also HILARIOUS in a more crude kind of way that I think doesn't step on FiW's toes, but can be appreciated side-by-side. I hate to say it but Camaraderie struck me as being one obvious joke after another. But I'm glad they all exist because it's not a competition, it's a team effort! Lift TOGETHER Bronies! Lift TOGETHER!

FiW is definitely my favorite abridged series. Good writing, good voicework, good music, and consistently makes me laugh. I have to urge to quote it constantly.

I personally love FiW and always will. The fact that all the characters are OOC and basically evil is what makes it so funny for me.
Eh... the only part I've really loved is Pinky's Portal Song... in part because I could see her really doing something that crazy in Canon... a few jokes were good and done well, but... I just cant get behind a series that makes the characters this mean and stupid... (of course part of that may be that the worst offender was Rainbow Dash, so it's a little of personal annoyance) good work on it, and it clearly has a lot of fans, but really... not my cup of tea...
i like the irony, the fact that this show COULD have very easily been Witchcraft, if it was cartoon network instead of Hasbro. Think about it. We're looking into a completely plausible alternate dimension here. JUST LIKE PINKIE DID!
So, I am a little late to this party. I only picked up on this series due to the popularity of Pinkie's Brew. I heard it and loved it, so I decided to watch the episodes as soon as I got the chance. Alright, it took me awhile to get around to it, but I was super glad I did! Funny from scene 1, great voice acting, and fun music. I love the recurring jokes between episodes like Pinkie as an orphan, Rainbow Dash's nearsightedness, and Hellfireshy. Jenny's voices are AMAZING, and I love her singing, too! I'm astounded that one person can do all of those ponies! I liked Pinkie's Brew, and it was great to finally see it in context with the story it was written for. It fits fantastically! Not at all what I had expected, but hilarious nonetheless. But I think my favorite was Pinkie's song in Dragone Baby Gone. Too cute. Anywho, you ponies involved in this are all amazing and I hope that you release more soon! I know that I'll be following this series from here on out. XD
PS - Sweetiebot is best soulless monster robot. At least she's not as fat as Spike.
So, after going back and reading that wall of comments, I thought I'd weigh in on the best abridged debate:
They're all best pony. I mean, seriously. FiW, CiS, and MAS are all great for what they do, but they do different things. Honestly, to me, it feels a little silly to even be comparing them. They all fall into the genera of parody series, but they each do parody in their own way, and all three of them are cute and funny. Can't a brony be a fan of all three?
