It took Hasbro an entire season to realize the huge potential Friendship is Magic has!
It will finally see a time slot that doesn't lock it into oblivion...in fact, it's getting three!
Starting May 31'st, FiM will pop up weekdays at 8:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 6:30 PM ET.
SO MUCH PONI.
Anyway you can see the rest of the hub schedule here!
Thanks to ultramanseven for the tip!

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe now its target audience will actually be able to watch it.
ReplyDeletedarn, not first... every time I try...
ReplyDelete@Atlas
ReplyDeleteUm, are you okay?
Totally irrelevant number to go with the totally irrelevant time schedule since I don't get HUB!
ReplyDeleteHopefully, it'll last through season two, not that I'll ever see it on tv till some other company buys the rights or HUB gets a basic cable channel.
I can now enjoy an episode of FiM with my breakfast, lunch and dinner (might have to delay lunch a bit.) Let's hope they keep this schedule for S2.
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only time I wanted to watch a premier was the last episode, only to find out that it comes on at 12:00!!!!!!! Pissed me off... Maybe I can watch one now while the rest of my family looks upon the sight of a 16 year old male watching this show. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteYES! My new cable box in my room will finally have a true use!
ReplyDeleteFinally!
ReplyDeleteSame Anonymous as above: Also, that pic is creepy... O.O
ReplyDeleteAs Twilight would put it...
ReplyDelete"YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!"
They ought to stick it either in the morning when kids are getting ready for school (6-7 ish?) or immediately after school, like 3-5 PM. That's when I remember watching most cartoons when I was young, in addition to the typical Saturday morning block.
ReplyDeleteHopefully someone will record ALL the episodes in 1080p.
ReplyDeleteCan't get enough of them ponies!
ReplyDeleteThis is great news. Now I can watch at full consciousness while I enjoy lunch.
ReplyDeleteThis calls for celebration. Let's all get wasted!
Gosh, darn it. I live in Japan. I guess that's what the internet's for, right? ... Right?
ReplyDeleteNow what we need is
ReplyDelete1) Make the Hub channel be available on other countries
2) Put the show on another international kids TV channel
Or
3) Simply just a DVD...again, internationally
Interesting, because I have the hub and only youtube fails will I still be well off for watching the show.
ReplyDeleteI NEED TO BUY AN HD TV ASAP
ReplyDeleteSorry Only 'if' youtube fails I've been busy writing pony fanfiction that will never get noticed because I'm a coward of an evil monster.
ReplyDeleteBEST. NEWS. EVER!
ReplyDeleteAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
ReplyDeleteGlad I won't have to set my DVR every week.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!
ReplyDelete@Spazturtle
ReplyDeleteSomeone has.

I'm still waiting for a confirmed UK air date...
ReplyDeleteIs Pinkie Pie drunk pole dancing in that image? I would totally slip her a twenty, if she had a belt to put it in.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. Oh HELL yeah!
ReplyDeleteSweet, to bad I-HOLY, THEY MADE A DELTORA QUEST ANIME AND DIDN'T TELL ME?
ReplyDeleteI need to to see if they ruined my childhood or not.
YESYESYESYESYESYES
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat's not Pinkie Pie, that's OPPP/Berry Punch
Ponies finally get a weekday timeslot, and I finally get access to an HDTV with Hub.
ReplyDeleteNow I just need to decide between Fluttershy's "yay" or Twilight's "YES YES YES YES".
I have the hub.
ReplyDeleteFeels good pony, gonna watch some ponies.
Great,
ReplyDeleteNow tell us where it's airing in the UK
How to use the Pony Celebration Protocol:
ReplyDelete1. Read article where the Pony Celebration Protocol is posted in the comments
2. Grasp the concept of the article and gather excitement.
3. Click the name of the Pony Celebration Protocol.
4. Repeat step 3.
Still doesn't have hub....
ReplyDeleteNow if only Treehouse would learn from this and air MLP at a better time than two in the morning :s
ReplyDeleteMasterlinx is back too
ReplyDelete@Luna
ReplyDeleteLOL. So all the episodes you are not on are the ones you watch on TV.
@Kitteran Some episodes are only avadibe in 720P on that channel. Not all the episode have been recorded in 1080p.
ReplyDeleteNow, if only I got The Hub...
ReplyDeleteFinally! I can enjoy ponies on TV with ease! Now all I need is a summer home in Ponyville, and all my dreams will have come true!
ReplyDelete@D. Shadows
ReplyDeleteYou aren't the only one.
Ah, damn, you stole my Poni. PROJECT PONI COMIN
ReplyDeleteOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOhmygoshOHMYGOSH!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOH SNAP I CAN FINALLY WATCH PONIES WITHOUT SKIPPING SCHOOL.
ReplyDeleteOh god why did it take so long.
wait what? does that mean season 2 starts early????
ReplyDeleteIt's about time The Hub realized that this is their most popular show...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI've been looking around for info on UK showings too, but so far all I've found is that the company that owns Cartoon Network and Boomerang will start airing the show sometime 'this summer': http://www.mylittleponynews.com/2010/12/friendship-is-magic-to-air-in-uk-spain.html
6:30 am is a pretty good slot to catch the target audience before school. I recall watching the old Ultraman live action show every morning for a couple of years with breakfast in that time slot.
ReplyDelete1:30 and 6:00 pm are a little more hit or miss, I would have gone with something in the 3-4 area, trying to shoot for that "Kids are home from school, but it's not dinnertime yet" sweet spot. I don't know how it is these days, but I watched the vast majority of my weekday cartoon intake right around 3:00-4:30.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWait, I misread that, it's on at 8:30 am. No, that's not so good for the target audence. My SO drives school bus and a lot of kids have to be out the door before 8:30. dangit Hub!
@Aimarpoiss
ReplyDeleteNo, they will just be running the re-runs more often and at times that work better for people.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWell, remember the time of year they are implementing this. A lot of schools in the US will be released for the summer. If anything this might be their summer programming schedule and we'll see a new schedule appear for the start of the school year.
@Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteYou've got to consider time zones here. What is a perfect time for one group might be terrible for the same somewhere else.
For example, in Central time it's on at 7:30 A.M., but that's the only time zone where it works out like that. In Pacific, it's 5:30, and in Eastern, it's 8:30. So, yeah, time zones are hard to work with.
Now ponies and broines can get their daily dose of MLP, only thing else that's needed is to put the series on dvd!!
ReplyDeleteyay!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewonder if all this will change come the time the new season starts?
I wonder if this holds any significance for season 2 and the show's success when that starts airing.
ReplyDeletestill doesn't have the hub...they need to put it on a channel where you dont need to pay to see the best show ever
ReplyDeleteMy mind, it is full of pony.
ReplyDeleteGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSP...
ReplyDelete*yay*
Good step for MLP:FIM, means Hasbro is probably going to keep the show around or a while. Even if this just exposes the show to more of its target audience, more viewers is never a bad thing for the lifetime of a show.
ReplyDeleteWell we don't get HUB over here but I belive its overall good, as more people will be able to watch this already successful show..
ReplyDelete..maybe Hasbro is learning its lesson! If so maybe we can get good stuff soon (OSTs, plushies, etc)
First off, awesome. Now I can catch ponies on tv.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, the first time I saw that picture, I thought it was supposed to be Applebloom. I think it's funnier that way.
Does DVRing a show count as views? I have no idea how the networks track these things. I never record anything on Fridays and every bit of support helps.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, don't we have, I dunno, Youtube and stuff? This action might make kids sick of MLP and ultimately reduce the probability of a third season. This is not a good thing. Then again, I guess some of you will watch it on the tele and give Hasbro more profits. Don't let corporations eat themselves out!
ReplyDelete@Agnitio Ex Machina
ReplyDeleteI don't know how more airtime is a bad thing considering how spread out the showings are. After all, Spongebob is shown everyday with back to back episodes and it is still one of thee highest rated children's programs.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteExcellent point. I guess the demographic shifts enough that there is little risk of having this problem. Still though, is Spongebob shown 3x a day, 5 days a week?
@Agnitio Ex Machina
ReplyDeleteYou obviously don't have a little sister that watches Nickelodeon.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteObviously not. Then again, Spongebob also has enough seasons behind it that it's far slower for the entertainment value to go stale. Last time I checked, FiM only has one season.
You tards, quit asking for DVDs. The word is BLU-RAY.
ReplyDeleteBut it's still on the hub...
ReplyDelete>loldidntread.gif
ReplyDeleteSo I'm guessing this means we get 3 episodes a week now? ok cool
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIdiot :>
@ThornI KNOW RIGHT? Put this show out weekly, Treehouse, your channel's ratings will be higher than ever.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, I'm so happy!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember way back I e-mailed the hub/discovery/whoever about the time-slot being too inconvenient for the children and that they'd miss the vital morals in the show, and I know I wasn't the only one who sent e-mails!!
I'm so proud of you, bronies ; w ;
Wait, "weekdays"? As in, all of them? That's not just three timeslots; that's FIFTEEN! And that's not even counting the two on Saturday morning (up from one?) and the one on Sunday morning. Yeesh! Are there any other shows on kids' television that air a whopping eighteen times a week?
ReplyDeleteI cried tears of manly joy.
ReplyDeleteCool. Saw this before, but didn't really think about the implications till now.
ReplyDeleteits about bloody time
ReplyDeleteExcellent news! The Brony Nation is growing stronger by the day!
ReplyDeleteIt's about...
ReplyDelete*sunglasses*
...time.
YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:30, 11:30, and 4:30? Looks like I'll need to be waking up a bit earlier before heading off to work.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Mountain Time Zone ftw!
lol don't have the hub in NZ.
ReplyDeleteYoutube of the win:P
@Vulcan539
ReplyDeleteNZ here too, we need the hub. all of our tv is years behind USA etc.
YAY YAY YAY YAY!
ReplyDelete@Luna
ReplyDeleteIf you live in Canada; Treehouse TV, Saturday at 9:30 am. Limited, but perhaps not so much as the hub itself.
Well least on the West Coast it gets a decent afternoon slot... I remember watching my fav cartoons at that timeslot.. soo long ago.
ReplyDeleteI have bad news guys! Guys who live with people that does not know they like MLP FiM will not be able to watch that because it requires you to be in public's eyes
ReplyDeletewatch with you sister thats what apple bloom's doing and sweetie belle
ReplyDelete
