ReplyDeleteAs for the story, I found it awesome =D . The Idea to use G1 ponies-prototypes is brilliant. It even make scene that Fluttershy writes stories about her friends. What a dirty little pegasus!
But I found Spike+Sweete part kinda out of place here. Anyway, I will be pleased for more stories like this.
Maybe it'd be better for someone else to have control of the other blog - a new face with no cache and no baggage within the brony community. For something as divisive and controversial as MLP clopfics and 34, whoever running it would need to be Switzerland to keep the drama at a dull roar.

ReplyDeleteIt is definitely coming close to the clopfiction section, but I guess it's pretty much the same as the night fluttershy exploded, as long as it doesn't go into detail about the organs and junk it's still technically just a really dirty shipping story.

ReplyDeleteIt's funny, all of my usual sensibilities are telling me that this is too close to the line and I shouldn't like this, but I do. The racier elements are handled just delicately enough to keep it from actually turning into one of those crappy dime novels you see lining the shelves of Walgreens and the like. More than that, there's a very distinctive Butterscotch charm that kept a smile on my face when it might have fallen otherwise. "For science", indeed.
Whenever you see something like this, the question that rightly pops up is not "was it done well" so much as "should it have been done?" And, I'll admit to having a massive shipping bias, as it's basically my foremost guilty/girly pleasure, but... I still think the answer is yes. This belongs.

ReplyDeleteWell shipping, even racy shipping may be your strongest suit then. Just write the stories that you enjoy. You can't please everyone, but if its good, enough folks will dig it. :)
I'd be fine with someone doing a blog with adult stuff allowed if there is actual demand for it, but equally fine with and totally understand that this blog is not allowing it.

ReplyDeleteStory was great. I particularly liked how you wrote Twilight. Often times in the more...adult oriented stories, character personalities seem forced, but that wasnt the case here.

ReplyDeleteThis was my first read related to anything MLP FIM. I used to be strictly art infatuated but after reading this...I mean, Dude, this story is no less than excitingly refreshing! I've never even heard of the term "shipping". I'm not very conferable drawing or even thinking about My little pony in such an erotic tone, or at least I tried not to. But this story is insperational to say the least!

ReplyDeleteI really liked this, actually. I dont usually have anything against clopfics unless I dont like the pairing, eg. "Here's to you Miss Pinkamena Pie" was Spike x Pinkie Pie, and I thought that was awkward, but in both of them it seems like a pairing I wouldn't support normally was handled really well. I would definitely reccommend "Here's to you..." if you didn't find the sex at all bad in this. I think I liked this so much though because the characters never seemed forced or awkward, except for the Spike x Applebloom, that was odd. I am extremely grateful that there was no mention of breasts on a pony, and also glad that I haven't read any clopfics like that, because personally I think it's a bit wrong. All in all I really liked it, 9/10, but now I'm left trying not to clop to pony porn.
