Is it strange that I've literally just walked to my computer after having seen all of Season 4 of Buffy, and then see this fanfic?
I wouldn't mind seeing art of this, but the story could be better.
It's a nice story, but I would have made Buffy the Pegasus and Xander the Earth Pony. Speed and solid support and all that. I also would have kept their original names too.

It's not a bad story, but it kinda hits every branch on the novice's guide to shipping tree on the way down.
I don't even have a problem with polygny, but running head first into it with even one of your crossover characters, which technically makes it an insertion character, is meh at best.
Nothing happens, nothing matters, and most of the characters get paired off because love at first sight nine times over is totally rational.
I'm surprised they didn't come out and state that Giles was screwing Celestia. Might as well at that point, right?
Thinking about this story, only makes me grow to hate it.
Yeah, this pretty much falls apart in the end, and right into cliche fanfic territory. You might want to add the shipping tag, cause this is pretty ripe with it.
...Anya's comments to Luna in the little dream sequence at the end of chapter 2... what? I don't even.
I mean, I've watched every single Buffy episode. Twice over, for most of them. And "Once More With Feeling" like 10 times. I get that its in Anya's character to be impetuous and tactless. But her comments to Luna just seemed to come out of nowhere.
Also, I just can't seen a Xander/Luna pairing. Just don't see it.
I like the idea of a Buffyverse/Equestria cross over though, especially with 2 FiM characters already called Spike and Angel!

Author Sithicus here... And boy is he confused. You hate my story because it features love at first sight and other supposed cliches? Um, ok, I guess everypony is welcome to their tastes and opinions, personally I didn't think it hit any branches on the shipping tree.
Also, technically there is no shipping in this fic, I mean wouldn't shipping have to invovle the conventional ships from FiM?
I'm surprised so many Buffy fans loved the story when I first shared it, but it seems that pony fans themselves consider it horrible or something.
And incidentally no, Giles would not be with Celestia, it's more of an actual friendship thing between mentors of common individuals.
I must also ask, how is it not in Xander's character for him to be the universe's punching bag or cosmic joke landfill? Seriously, being targeted by all the mares is right up there with his typical brand of love-life, only I guess in Equestria it's magnified to the nth degree until he manages to grab the reigns of the situation rather than being in a blind panic.
I have no idea why I just read all that...but it was a pleasant experience.
May not be the best story ever, but it was definitely not a waste of time.
Oh, and forgot to mention: I also agree the whole conversation with Luna and Anya in her dream was kinda weird. It just didn't seem to fit the mood of the rest of the story.
But other than that, I did enjoy this crossover fic.
