Rarity has gone, over the course of the show, from securely in last place to securely in first place in my list of favorite ponies. Right now, she has, in fact, beaten out Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, which I'd have thought impossible just a couple months ago.

Rarity is pretty cool, yes, but she's still at my bottom.
This makes me happy, very happy.
People are simply far too quick to assume that a character is two-dimensional and that Rarity's glamorous sophistipony exterior is all that she has! Her intellect, true self-confidence as opposed to shallow ego, and deep concern for the value of others is hard for them to accept.
I knew she was the best from the start, she is clearly superior to those other ponies.
Rainbow Dash is still the best... but Rarity is now the second best instead of fourth.
