• Story Updates January 6th (Morning)

Just two this time around. The story update queue will be a bit late tomorrow, but it shouldn't be too bad!

Equestrianet and Wild Sky Yonder can both be found after the break.

Story: Wild Sky Yonder (Update Part 2!)

     5 Star

[Adventure] We totally didn't pass this due to the wet mane Spitfire image alone.  I promise.

    Author: Mysecsha
Description: There was nothing left for Spitfire in Cloudsdale, just an uncle who hated her and painful memories of lost loved ones. The Pegasus Search and Rescue Corps offers her a chance to get out of town, see the world, do some good - and one day maybe have a shot at the Guards or the Wonderbolts! She jumps at the opportunity - and six days later, she limps into training camp.
Doesn't matter: she made it. The world can beat her down, but it can't keep her down. The friendships she forms here will get her through everything training has to offer. Will they also see her through the dark clouds on the horizon?
    Wild Sky Yonder

    6. I'm disappointed that the update is so short...but at the same time it allows me to actually go to bed lol.

    7. My list of stories that I need to read/ follow is large enough to make me forget some of them.

    9. I wonder how fast I'll get fired if I spend my entire work day neurotically checking for pageviews and comments instead of doing my job.

    11. Ah the joys of writing:

      Have a brilliant idea,
      realize the idea is idiotic

      Write something you're proud of
      Realize it's boring and incomprehensible

Straighten it all out, tack together something that other people just might enjoy out of blood and sweat and tears and then realize you've written yourself into a "this-is-flight-camp-and-my-hero-is-grounded" corner.

Spend the entire time it's in the queue terrified and convinced it's garbage, stay up half the night worried about it, then teleport to cloud nine when it posts.

I wouldn't want it any other way /)^3^(\

Don't you dare disappoint me, or I'll never love you again!!1!
No, seriously though, I've been looking forward to your story since it first aired.

    13. Ah Mysecsha, how we share these similar joys.

You think your idea doesn't work? Mine's downright ridiculous. I try to put something up and I know for sure I'm no great writer, and that it was a miracle that it's on this site

Everytime theres a new comment I pray it doesnt point out all the flaws.

Oh, and I know that feeling when you write yourself into a corner. Feels bad man.

But I agree. Frikken love it

    14. StoryBirth, flaw-pointing-out is amazing and wonderful -- even if it does make me feel like I'm going to die of shame when it appears. For example, my pre-readers saved chapter 2 from my flaws at least half a dozen times.
