"This is a little late, but here is a pic from the Hoosier Hooves Brony Society first ever meet-up/holiday party.  We are a relatively small group located in the Carmel and Westfield area of Indiana.  By small, I mean there are six of us total, one guy and and five gals.  Most of us knew one another before ponies, but we would love to find other brony-folks in our area.  If we were to be fortunate enough to get included in a nightly roundup (even as just a little note that we exist), I and the rest of my little herd would be absolutely ecstatic.  If  anypony  in our area would like to get in touch to see if we can work out a larger meet-up, I can be reached at this e-mail address (kalinnightmare@hotmail.com). "We had six bronies come to our impromptu meetup here in the Lehigh
Valley. We watched "Family Appreciation Day," played My Little
Pony:Trivia is Magic, and watched a bunch of PMVs. It was just a good
time of hanging out and chowing down on cupcakes. We have plans to
hold another meetup later on in the month, so stay tuned."

Seth, After Doing This For Two Days I Have Even More Respect For You Than I Already Did

When I first started watching ponies back in early January, I didn't really know what to expect. I'd seen it floating around and I thought it might be worth checking out, so, on a whim, I watched the first episode. Then the second. And so on until I'd seen everything that had aired up to that point. I was enthralled.

I hung around /co/ for a bit, and it wasn't long before I heard of a place called 'Equestria Daily'. I checked it out, and it seemed pretty neat. A nice way to keep up with the fandom. I bookmarked it immediately.

A month later, I found myself checking the website every single day, usually just keeping it open constantly in a tab. It had overcome every other pony site to be my prime source of news for the fandom. I had even begun sketching out an idea for a story I hoped to submit there one day.

And so it continued. Ponies became a larger and larger part of my free time, and it exposed me to music, styles of art and literature, and people that I never would have otherwise met. I attended a few meetups, tried my hand at making custom ponies, and, of course, watching the new episode religiously. I made some new friends that I treasure dearly and exercised my creativity for the first time in my life. I've had amazing experiences in the last year.

Throughout it all, I had Equestria Daily, which connected me to all kinds of things that I otherwise would have had overlooked.

That's why I wanted to become a blog author. I wanted to give something back.

    So, thank you, Sethisto.

Thanks, Cereal, Phoe, Tek, and everyone else who works so hard every single day to keep the blog running.

Thanks for the most fun year of my life.
