And I have begin wondering where Fluttershy got the seal from, and why it would be there at her cottage.
Looks like "May the Best Pet Win" is the official name of the song, so we should refer to it as that from now on.
Am I the only one who LOVED the face vectors during the song?
Now that we have the instrumental, all we need now is the acapella. Then we can roll in the remixes!

She loves ALL animals no matter how far away they are. I was surprised at how excited Fluttershy was when Dashie said she wanted a pet. XD
Oh god... I can't even look at their overstretched faces... Didn't animators care even a little that their faces from profile (long) don't match at all their faces when looking at them directly from the front (flat)? Skulls from rubber? Even professional animators and artist point out the magnitude of this failure.
But musical is a musical - it wouldn't be called a musical if it was supposed to be good :|

I've been calling it "Find a Pet", but I had already rendered the video with "May the Best Pet Win" for the title --- my bad!
And, yeah, as a few ponies pointed out, I did totally recreate this song note for note :) so thanks for noticing! It wasn't very easy, haha!

The most off-beat, broken up, oddest song of the entire series.

Re: Overstretched faces - this is like the fifth time we've seen a ridiculously cheesy Fluttershy grin. Why is this occasion so unforgivable?
And At the Gala was way more of a Disney song for me than May the Best Pet Win, how is it totally different for you? It was an out of nowhere song with full choral and orchestral backing about being excited to go to a royal ball, and we all loved it.
You're obviously entitled to your opinion, you can't tell someone they're supposed to like something when they don't or vice versa, I'm honestly curious is all.
I like musicals, and I liked the song. It's style is a little different from what we've gotten previously, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm sorry, but when I compared this piece with the original piece - I immediately noticed some of the missing instruments that were critically part of the original song. I'm not sure if it supposed to be a recreation of the song, or an attempt to cut out the voices and leave the music in (which is a very hard task!).
^ Huh, it appears that MandoPony did actually recreate the tune of the song - didn't see the post there. This is pretty bad because some people might mistook it as an actual rip instead of a recreation if the people are not listening critically; which again is really bad.

I think remixer-bronies are gonna have an issue with the swung 8th note rhythm...Well those outside the genre of EBM and German Industrial Cyber Goth music anyway lol.

I can't understand why this being a musical peice automatically makes it inferior. Have you seen any musicals? There's enough fantastic PMV's of musicals out there to definately turn you onto the idea I think.

Can you tell me which instruments I missed? I went to some pretty painstaking lengths to recreate the entire orchestra. The only instrument I know I left out in the end was the tubular bells, but I kept in the flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoon, trumpets, trombones, french horns, violins, violas, cellos, contrabasses, the harp, the xylophone, the timpani, and the crashing cymbals.
What else did I forget? Just curious 'cause I'm always looking to improve.
...and someone would have to miss where I put the "Arranged by MandoPony" note in big letters on the screen in order to mistake this for the original.
I didn't consider the seal but I have been wondering about if tortoise's can walk on clouds? I hope so considering rainbow dash lives on/in a cloud. @SgtGarand
