• Story: Newbie Artist Training Grounds

    [Normal][Random]

    Author: Pineapple Skitter
Description: I attempt to tackle the prompts in the "Newbie Artist Training Grounds" event with words rather than picture. One picture is worth 1000 words, so I'm sure that 500 to 1499 words are worth a picture after some rounding...

    Day 01: A Pony Standing
    Day 02: A Pony Jumping
Day 03: A Pony Dressed as The Great and Powerful Trixie
Day 04: A Pony Eating Fruit
Day 05: Your Favourite Pony with Wings, Breaking the Sound Barrier
    Newbie Artist Training Grounds 01 - 05

    1. Seems like a broken link. Perhaps you could repost it?

    3. Ah, so they're stories based on the NATG themes? Interesting idea I guess, but I can't say they were particularly well executed (apart from maybe #4).

Whatever. I'd like to see the other 25.

    4. I don't think this is supposed to be a Pullitzer prize winning serious super-story, Interrobang. I think this is just supposed to be a sort of gift honoring Phoe and all the fun we had with Newbie Artist Training Grounds.

Just chill out a little bit dude, the tone of your comment makes you seem like an elitist ass.

    5. Took me ages to work out what had happened to Spike in #5, even after reading it 3 times. Maybe I'm just slow, but it didn't seem very clear.

Other than that these aren't at all bad for short stories.

    6. I'm liking this super short story silliness, and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Newbie Artist Training Grounds theater.

    7. @ Narwhals' Bend:

'first' comments make me sad, but I'll forgive you after reading your speedfic entry :P

      @ blader4411:

I'll try to stick them up on DeviantArt then if there's a problem with people accessing the files.

      @ Interrobang Pie:

      (1) Be a terrible author
      (2) Write fanfiction
      (3) Listen to feedback
      (4) Be a less terrible author
      (5) Goto (2)
      (6) ???
      (7) Profit!

      (1) is easier than [insert name here], (2) is a work in progress, but for (3) I need people to send me feedback that I can listen to. Can you please drop me an email saying exactly what you thought was poorly executed, and I can work on improving it? Same goes for anyone else reading this!

In other news, I'm digging the mega-man music!

That makes me sad... I'll re-read #5 and see if I can make things a little clearer.
