The My Little Pony main website on Hubworld has tossed a few new official wallpapers up: few meaning two. The resolutions are a little odd (1920x1600? Did they ever make square monitors that big?) but for those who haven't moved on to widescreen yet, you should find something to enjoy here! The rest of us can just resize accordingly.

I really like how these new wallpapers are in that postcard style. I tried making some on my own before, but I couldn't get the pictures inside the letters quite right.

What did you do to our Spikey-Wikey on the "Equestria" wallpaper? The "Ponyville" Spike looks better. Also, why aren't there any 16:9 resolutions? They all appear to be in the 4:3 ratio. I use a 1920x1080 resolution.

Those are pretty cool, and the officialness makes them even better. But I could never change from my current, insanely cute Twilight-Sparkle-in-socks-laying-in-front-of-a-fireplace wallpaper. That one's a keeper.
This will be fantastic for all the senior ladies who have been hell-bent on collecting the entire line of My Little Pony toys since the 80s and still have their Windows 98 computer with a tube monitor

If I see that same vector of Rainbow Dash one more time, Imma' flip a table. I'm shocked that the second one has somewhat unique vectors. Even still, what the hay is Rarity standing on? Sure, Pinkie is floating, but her position on the page justifies it. I know this is meant for little kids, but even so, my professors would fail me if I presented an image this sloppy and lifeless.
I remember having an old computer with a screen like that (1900X1600). But that was years ago.
Odd choice to make them only in 4:3. Most people already use widescreen monitors. They wouldn't look good cropped either.

I had a 19" CRT monitor capable of 1920x1600. It was amazing, but I couldn't find any wallpapers for it.
