• MLP Online Update

The group over at MLP Online has released a few new demos and screenshots for everyone to drool over.

The first one appears to be a really complicated timeline web thing. Apparently the coders out there will find something to enjoy with that one. Check it out here.

For everyone else, have some shiny demos and screenshots after the break!

    7. Wow, I think this is a completely different game than the one I was expected. So many different pony games coming out, it's awesome. Oh well, that's a good thing.

Also, in the first video, that is certainly a ton of work that the creators have been doing. Oh my.

    8. Well, I can be patient and wait!

Haha they program the debuggers to be funny, that's just cool!

    9. Eugh, turn-based battle system. Looks cool but not my style.

    10. Neato, even though it's technically a competitor to what I'm making.

    11. There is no competition with ponies! We're all friends here!

    12. This appears to be quite a bit more competently developed than your average fangame. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

    13. I can kinda dig how the three pony types (Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn) could very easily fit into the three basic RPG character classes (Warrior, Thief, Mage)

    14. Wow this project is coming along great!

    15. Reminiscent of Final Fantasy or Pokemon? Should be fun... I wish there was a gameplay method more in tune with the message of the show, but not much comes to mind.

    16. The map Pinkie is running on reminds me of a ponyception. Also Rainbow
Dash looks like a badass when she fights.

    19. I still don't understand why they decided to go with the "one-at-a-time" Final Fantasy system instead of something a little more active.
I played an online RPG that did the same thing a few years back, and being in a party was more than tedious if there was any lag present, or if one of the players felt like falling asleep.

Not to discredit the people working on the game though, this is probably the closest to a complete fangame we have so far, and I'm definitely willing to try it before I write it off.

    20. I really hope it doesn't turn out to be another crappy, repetitive, tedious MMORPG where you take turns and don't need any kind of skill. It was good in Pokemon back when it was portable because you didn't have to pay attention, but now we have keyboards and mouses.

      I'm just saying,
      quality over quantity
      and
quality over finally getting something out(Yes, Blizzard is actually right)

    21. I still kinda wish that when you choose what to attack the name would appear over the enemy, or just select the enemy, or something. Might make it easier to give the proper commands. It makes a big difference who is attacking what. Like you don't want to have AJ finish off a weak monster when Fluttershy could have done it and have AJ attack a different monster (as shown in the video Fluttershy and AJ are quite different in attack power)

    22. I haven't been following this game much, so this might be a dumb question, but does Fluttershy have any abilities to make up for her weak attack power? I mean, 5 damage vs 9-12 from the others? I don't want to see her underpowered!

    23. Looking pretty good still. I really like the awesome Derpy post office. :D

    24. getting a chrono trigger vibe from the music, and the current art level makes this game look alot like SMRPG.

      That's awesome.

    25. ...am I the only one who thinks that the enemies look like Mochis? XD

      ...and subsuquently fangirled. >-<

    26. So... basically you just run around and kick stuff? In turns? How lame. Equestria Online looks SOOO much better.

    27. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TURN THIS INTO A DStm GAME!

    28. I'm liking the look and feel of this game and all, but it feels like they practically stole sound bits from Earthbound on the SNES. Check out this video showing a battle on Earthbound to see what I mean:

    29. @Bryal Well those little sounds are just placeholders. What's a shame is that they don't use the music I make for it at all. I kid.

    30. The battle's sounds effects are the same as Earthbound. :)
