    1. This deconstruction is meta as hell.

      I loved it!

    3. ...and good night to you, Twilight ^-^

    4. I nearly lost it at "there's a hole". Cute story, well done. I feel like a bit of a voyeur now but who can resist watching ponies?

    5. It took me a few moments after reading to figure out they were talking about the 4th wall... Creepy but in a good way. After all we do like ponies.

    6. Liked:
      Applejack suffering a mindfuck
      Poor vulnerable Pinkie Pie
      Poor scared, shivering ponies
      Action Scenes were well written
How this story made me fidget uncomfortably

      Disliked:
Some of the scene changes and dialogue were a bit choppy
      Ending seemed a little abrupt

Overall good story, though! I began to wonder if I should close the window in order to spare poor Applejack's sanity, so well done.

    7. I loved this. There should be more "Pinkie Pie disturbs others with her powers" fics.

    8. Pinkie Pie can bend space.

*ahhemmm* LE GASP I NEVER KNEW! THIS IS LIKE THAT TIME SPIKE HAD A CRUSH ON RARITY OMGWTFBBQ!!1!11

Well, no. Why am I not surprised.

    9. This is at the same time rather disturbing and quite awesome. Especially when Pinkie describes Them, and the moments she can see Them...

    10. I'm just thankful that she only spends a short time passing through.

If she ever got stuck on this side of the fence, there would be global madness in a short time, I'd think.

    11. Pinkie Pie is a cute, nice version of Yog-Sothoth.

      GENIUS

    12. I think I would have liked this better if it were Twilight Zone style grimdark. It was so close, and it could have been pushed over the edge to become a truly magical mindfuck.

Still, quite satisfying in its current incarnation.

    14. I love this fic. The only thing I would change is you have a few instances of "someone" "anyone" etc. instead of somepony, anypony, etc.

      ReplyDelete
    15. Right. This is more of what happens when you mix Lovecraft and Poni. Someone needs to write a "Ponies of Thindalos" soon.

Also, two thumbs. Moving in the fifth dimension!

    16. You are a *silly* *camper*. I am always Orz.

I will tell again the many *pieces*. You do not know *special things*.
Here is some. *Time* is not one but many.
*Space* is many. *Colors* are many. You are so *sticky*.
You cannot *slide* like Orz from *outside* to *inside* and *in between*.
It is sad, but Orz can *pull* the *campers* after being *connected*.

    17. man this is the second pony fic with an "A wrinkle in Time" reference built into it. :P also if you haven't read it, don't, it's got a lot of unnecessarily heavy christian themes that make some of the dialogue unbearable. It's one of those books that you should have read in school, but really shouldn't read it after your out.

    18. Note to self: Do not ask Pinkie Pie what happened to the Androsynth. It won't end well.

    19. When she said "There's a hole" i was like "OH GOD THE FOURTH WALL!!"

anyways that was a celestia tier story. VERY well done :D

    20. "Twilight did. The Hydra’s roar was deafening; it was right on top of them. She took Twilight’s tail in her mouth and shut her eyes."

I think That second "Twilight" should have been Applejack.

Ah, thanks. Should be fixed now.

Heh heh, I always liked the way that phrase sounded. Everybody knows what it means, but if you'd never heard it before "The Fourth Wall" sounds like it could be something colossal and terrifying, straight out of House of Leaves or something similar. Especially with the way you just invoked it there!

    24. This is... amazing. I'm still kind of shivering over this. BRAVO!

... I kinda want to see more.

    26. I wouldn't mind reading more of this. I really like the idea of the viewer being some sort of eldritch monstrosity living beyond their reality.

      ReplyDelete
    27. genius idea for a story, but like others have said, a bit creepy. i'll never be able to look at Pinkie the same...

      ReplyDelete
    28. Did anyone else say, "Good night, Twilight," aloud, at the end of the story? I got some weird looks for that one.

    30. Also, Fridge Horror:

Pinkie Pie said she'd known about "Them" since she was a little filly.

That means, as a little filly, Pinkie Pie went through all the shit that Applejack and Twilight were suffering, with no support from anyone.

      When she was LITTLE.

      No wonder Pinkie's crazy...

    31. I would love to see another story like this, except this time with Fluttershy and Rarity, because I want to see how they would freak-out. Anyways, 5-stars.

    32. It's like I'm reading 1/0 with ponies.

    34. That's a really cool story. It was a bit mindscrewy, but in a good way!

      ReplyDelete
    35. Only Pinkie can make Love Craftian horror a normal story element.

      ReplyDelete
    36. My mind is full of fffffffffponies.

      ReplyDelete
    37. I love this story. Really cute. I realized I was one of THEM when she said they only watched interesting things. And yes, I did say "Good night" back to Twi at the end. ^^

    38. Do you ever feel, in your caves of steel,
The chill of an ancient fear?
Do you shudder and say, when you pass this way,
      A human once walked here?

They've cut off our heads, but we're not dead,
And we're bound by an ancient vow.
That does not sleep which dreams in the deep,
We're the Great Old Ones now!

    39. I loved this story! Something meta, sweet, on-character and funny! Totally saw where it was going after the first few paragraphs but I love it all the same.

only complaint is LABEL THE GOSH-DARNED DOCUMENT cos it shows up as "copy of document 1" or something.

This goes for the rest of you, too!

      ReplyDelete
    40. creeeeepy. I've never really been interested in Lovecraftian style stuff, but this one is pretty darn good. Keep it up ;)

      ReplyDelete
    41. It doesn't seem creepy, just... "interesting", I knew pinkie could defy basic physical laws, I just didn't think it was so awesomely.

      ReplyDelete
    42. A really great read, I thought. -:)

    43. "how many ways can you go?"

Bricks were shat. Also I hope Luna and Celestia remain ignorant about this. Wouldn't want them freaking out while trying to move the sun and moon around.

    44. Holy shit... MY mind was blown.

So is Pinkie Pie like the "Carl Sagan" of Equestria or something? Especially the part with the paper explanation seems like a Sagan reference.

      ReplyDelete
    45. I liked this, but two things:

-The ending was very abrupt. Twilight and AJ have to go on forever being aware that they are being watched?

-A couple of words completely broke my concentration:

mana. Well, duh, Twilight just conjure some water!

radio. Don't think ponies have this (yet?).

      ReplyDelete
    46. Whhhooooaaa...
We've all seen characters (like Deadpool) who were aware of the fourth wall, I never thought about what it must be like for them. You completely blew my mind, and it was AWESOME!
I agree that the ending was kinda abrupt, but, so is pinky, so it makes sense.
Are you gonna do a sequel to this, or something else with Pinky as an Equestrian Abomination?

      ReplyDelete
    47. @J

I promise I will if the inspiration strikes for it, but I can't guarantee anything. My writing can be pretty bad if I try to force it. This'll probably stay as a one-shot.

    48. I loved this story, haha. It took me a while to get that Pinkie was talking about the 4th wall.

    49. Screw Dr. Whooves, Pinkie is the true Time Lord!

      ReplyDelete
    50. This story does a wonderful job at straddling the line between humor and horror. The portrayal of Pinkie just works so well in that regard.

    51. Folding space. Travelling without moving.
      Pinkie is a fricking Navigator!

      THE CAKE MUST FLOW.

    52. This is an amazingly effective explanation of Pinkie's weird appearances. If any writers from the show are reading this, I really hope they decide to make an episode based on this story.

My only critique for this story is that the ending was a bit too abrupt. Five stars.

    54. I loved this because A) it explains Pinkie Pie well, and B) it was just a little bit creepy without being too creepy. Well, and C) watching Applejack break down was hilarious.

      ReplyDelete
    55. Wow, trippy and it almost makes be feel guilty for indirectly traumatizing my favorite ponies.

      ReplyDelete
    56. I enjoyed this but boy do I feel dumb. Read this late night (off line; I don't tend to look at the comments in case of spoilers) and thought it was just an interesting take on Lovecraft (with a 'pony' ending). It wasn't until the following day that I had that flash of insight that told me the route Pinkie's shortcuts were actually taking (true story: I could have done without that kind of distraction while I was using a chainsaw!).

    57. It's so meta, even this acronym

They said "That means, as a little filly, Pinkie Pie went through all the shit that Applejack and Twilight were suffering, with no support from anyone."
I say: Well, with a less fully formed idea of what "normal" was, she might actually be LESS disturbed by it.
