A brony contestant has been added to TBS's King of the Nerds this round. The exact summary for him includes:
Thomas, 21 – "Brony" – Huntington Beach, Calif. – Thomas is a Brony, the term for a guy who is a fan of My Little Pony. He's also Star Wars junkie with a fairly large Lego collection that takes up a good amount of his living space. In addition, he's into video games like Star Wars: The Old Republic, StarCraft II and Fallout. And he's an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
Expect to see it start off on January 23rd, 2015! Lets see how far he gets.
Thanks to Thomas and John for sending it!

It's still amazing that we have been around for four years. The pony fandom is a blur. Who would have expected it to get as big as it did?
To celebrate, there is a stream event for the next 36 hours.
Technically this madness began way back in the day on the Comics and Cartoons board of 4chan, and because of this, the party will be largely hosted by the early fandom denizens that now call /mlp/ home.
Expect it to start at 12:00 Midnight EST on October 10th 2014 (so tonight) over here. As anything involving the world of 4chan, I'm dropping a warning here letting you all know that there is the potential for some things that may not be the most safe for work. They will be giving out prizes, running games, reading fanfics, and inviting a plethora of fandom guests though, so don't expect 24 hour live clopshow or anything.
If you are from /mlp/, blame Capper for this post!

I really don't know what it is about this fandom. Every time Celestia is involved, the art levels skyrocket. Look at those details. I bet she uses Equestria's arts funding budget for self portraits from pony artists.
Get some art below!

It looks like Content ID has claimed another pony Youtuber, with the Mentally Advanced Series being the most recent victim. All of the videos are now under Youtube control as opposed to FiMFlamFilosophy. This means the videos can no longer use adsense. For a content creator, not being able to support yourself through your videos, animations, music, websites, ect. makes it difficult to keep working on it due to the time investment required (*cough* EQD included, dat adblock).
A new video has been released by FiMFlamFilosophy detailing all of it. Hopefully they can get around the ID system for future videos.
(Note: This is also pretty big since he uses screenshots instead of actual video for this series now, meaning content id may be expanding to simple images)
Thanks to David and Jimmy for sending it.

Friends, it's time for something that all of us are interested in... comics, ponies, and Hasbro. Happening right at New York Comic Con is the Hasbro and IDW Publishing panel which could bring us potentially new information about various pony things. From the same people that brought us the Four Horsies of the Pocalypse comes another figurine dedicated to all the unicorn fans out there. Replacing the head is a giant middle finger.
When it comes to censoring swear words, I have no idea if middle fingers count, but you can find the "Zero Fuc^s Given" image below the break, or just check out all the versions of it over here!
Thanks to Mic and Bud for the heads up!

THE CLASH OF FANDOMS. Or is there even a Dr. Seuss fandom? I guess the movies might have spurred one on. I can't imagine people still meet up about the books though.
Actually now that I think about it, I've only ever seen the Grinch one with Jim Carrey. Good movie.
Anyway, get the shirt over here for 14 bucks.
Thanks to Nat Brony for sending it! -

That screenshot brings back some memories right there. I bet some of you didn't even own the oldschool giant brick of a system that the first Gameboy was. That thing entertained us for hours though with it's glorious black and white. It's amazing how far technology has come in such a short period of time.
Anyway, we have a throwback to those graphicswise, but with mechanics you'd expect in a much newer game if the trailer is any indication. Head on down below the break to check out Legacy of the Pony!

Can't have New York without a pony con right? It's technically where the very idea of it began. The folks at Big Apple Ponycon have released a boatload of news, along with the introduction of Andrea Libman as one of their special guests. If you are curious about it, head on down below the break to check it out!

Expect the New York Comic Con news today, cause that is totally a thing that is happening. A Brony Tale released a while back, and now they have a blu-ray version popping up for the first time. Booth number 337 is the place to go if you find yourself wandering the halls looking for pony things.
Full description below the break!
