NY Toy Fair: The "Fun" Not Doubled: Funrise Drops Plushes, Funko Has Nothing New

In the wake of us getting word from Aurora World and Diamond Select about losing their MLP licenses, we made sure to check in with other manufacturers, specifically Funko and Funrise. Our findings weren't nearly as depressing in that we didn't find much of anything.

I'll break it down below...

Electronic Music: DJT - Sweetness & Lightning [Chillout] / NeoN - A Lovable Heart [Progressive House]

Some electronic music here with a combination of chill and uptempo. First up DJT showcases his abilities to make the more relaxed side of electronic music work just as well as the energetic side. Sweetness and Lightning combines beautiful Fluttershy vocal chops with some pared back percussion, pretty piano and soft ambient sounds in a really lovely way. NeoN has put together a Hearts and Hooves album, and the second track here is a showcase of the kind of style to expect from it, with a wonderful melody throughout a strong arrangement of lighter and more energy-filled parts.

New Bronystudy Survey Before Team Publishes Book On Bronies!

The awesome folks at Bronystudy are going to be publishing a book on all their research concerning the fandom over these many years, but they need your help one last time to make the final push towards publication! They are asking everyone to fill out a survey, details below!

The researchers at the Bronystudy would like to ask for the fandoms help one last time before we put the finishing touches on our book. MLP: Friendship is Magic #51 Preview and James Asmus Details Season 7/Comic Connection

Some new information has popped up in an interview on CBR with writer James Asmus concerning the connection between season 7 and recent comics of the Friendship is Magic series. It gives a better look at how closely the two are tied together while also answering a bunch of general questions about the comic series in general.

Not only that but CBR has an exclusive preview for the comics as well that we'll put after the break along with the answer to the question about the comics and season 7 plus links to the whole interview and comic preview page!

iblank2apples' original piece is one of my all time favourite pony music tracks, so whenever I see a remix of it, it always excites me. This is my personal favourite remix of it, as it takes and builds upon the emotions initially present with some beautiful sampling, not to mention awesome percussion and bass design that helps to augment the melodic nature of the original. Most of the neurofunk-style drum & bass in the fandom is pretty dark and edgy but this piece is decidedly upbeat, and pulls off the desired atmosphere wonderfully. Check it out below for a spellbinding experience!

Ignore that blurryness up there. Ponies were meant for Smash Mouth. I can only imagine how long it took to compile this one up. Pretty much every word is a completely different scene across the entire show.
