Spirithoods announced their pony lineup a few months ago, and we are finally at the point where they are about to become available. The Rainbow Dash hood up above is set to release on the 29th of July at 8:00 PM PST next week, with the others following.

And in other news, The Twilight Sparkle hood got an update, with a much more Twilighty horn. This one will be arriving some time in late August or September, but you can check out a gallery of those below.

The Continental Championships for My Little Pony CCG are coming up next week at Gen Con in Indianapolis, July 31 - August 1! Anyone can still qualify to enter by placing in the top 20% of a qualifier round at Gen Con on Thursday, July 30.
Continental prizes include the one-of-a-kind playmat up there, special promo foils versions of Rarity, Truly Outrageous (one of the most coveted cards in the CCG), Amazon Fire TVs, hundreds of dollars in Enterplay store credit, and even the chance to work with the development team to design your own card to add to the game!

Over the years, the fandom has created a whole bunch of interesting offshoots for pony races. The show likes to sneak neat ideas into the background, but nothing stops the collective minds of an armada of geek culture gods! Bat ponies, Plane ponies, Moth ponies, giant fluffball ponies, you name it and we have probably ponied it.
Once again, our hypothetical Hasbro exec has returned for another round of "ask the brony fandom!". He needs a new toy line for 2016, and you are going to provide the ideas for it!
What new race of ponies do you build? Or what existing fan created race do you want to see in the show most? Are the bat ponies of Hallowshades about to make their grand season 6 debut?!

Good news for all of you looking forward to these Power Ponies brushables! Target has apparently started to release stock of them. These guys have been teased for months on various Taobao links and 3rd party ebay stores.

I was honestly a bit on the fence when these two became buddies. The chemistry just didn't feel like it was there. I'm glad they did now though. Treehugger's episode kinda sealed that.

Twilight Sparkle broke time when she got her cutie mark. Now Twilight and Sparkle are sisters from another time. Twilight is hailed as the potentially greatest light magician of all time, and already has a reputation as a hero by the time she goes to Ponyville. This isn't quite her story, not entirely.
Sparkle is an orphan - her dark magic killed her parents. She lives with her brother in Canterlot's industrial sector because they can't afford anything better. She can't leave either. She's a natural dark mage; while Sparkle won't go mad like Sombra, her reputation is hardly any better. Worse, the law doesn't see her as a good pony.
The fact that the dead don't stay dead around her, or that Thorn - Spike's double - is an undead, soul-eating abomination, are other matters altogether.

Would you wear a Twilight Sparkle mask? I probably would. I've been known to rock whatever dumb pony headpiece they have available at SDCC after all. A tiara one year, a giant Rainbow Dash face this year. It's the best.
Uhh, anyway, enough about silly hats. Brazil apparently already has these guys listed on their website as available now. I know a few of you at least live down there and love the poni. For the rest of us, will we ever be graced by these incredible headpieces? That remains a mystery. Brazil has had completely unique pony figures in the past for their McDonalds campaigns. Way back in 2011, these were available.
I suppose only time will tell!

I guess it's officially "update our Amazon Listings" day for Hasbro! Joining the Friendship is Magic collection and mystery items earlier is a whole boatload of Equestria Girls toys. They don't appear to be linked to any specific movie this time based on their Amazon names, but that could change.
This also makes the "dolls" in the other post look much less like they have anything to do with EG. As I mentioned in the last one, these guys are running with the generic Equestria Girls product description.

The Friendship is Magic collection marks Hasbro's first big push for collectable level figurines in their personal toy line. Usually 3rd party licencees are the ones with the high end molded stuff. I'm sure the Apple Family wasn't the only plan for that lineup. We have a bunch of new listings all going up on Amazon at the same time, some labeled as part of a new "Friendship is Magic" collection, and others a bit more mysterious.
Unfortunately, there aren't any dates or images to go with them, but I'm sure we will find out more as time goes on. Until then, get a sneak peek at what we can expect from merchandise as we go into the holiday season and beyond!

GalaCon is just a little over a week away, and the Equestria Daily staff is hard at work preparing to get seven of us over to Germany next weekend. Today we found out what's in store for everyone who will be heading to the Forum Am Schlosspark during that weekend: GalaCon has put up their schedule, con rules and gala event dresscode.
