Remember when the gender bent versions of the mane 6 first hit the scene? We don't see them much anymore but it's always nice to see them pop up now and again!
News time guys, get it all after the break!

If you haven't been following these, Music of the Day has been reimagined with tougher standards, but still the original vision of giving newish musicians, or even old ones looking to experiment in unfamiliar genres, a place to learn and grow. These aren't quite spotlight level, but they are still pretty good!
Below the break, get a selection of songs that weren't quite spotlight level.

Story: Stranger Than Fan Mail
by Calpain
[Comedy][Slice of Life]
Author: Pineta
Description: A.K. Yearling's mail mostly consists of the usual fan correspondence. However just before the Friendship Summit in Griffonstone and the Daring Do Convention, the Griffon Ambassador writes to demand the return of the looted Griffon's Goblet. This is followed by a variety of letters from Griffonstone and elsewhere.

Oreos sound pretty good right about now, you know? Unfortunately I don't have a big sweater to enjoy them in.

This is one I saw a lot in the comments these last few days, and one on our original list when we first thought to do the series. If you have ever played any of the Final Fantasy games, these guys were the ones to deliver it to you. They are an icon in the Japanese RPG genre, with an armada of developers working on just about every genre out there within their ranks.
Can they handle our cute cartoon equines though? Technically they have already teamed up with Hasbro in the past for Monopoly, and are known for their crazy collaborations in the form of Kingdom Hearts and it's Disneyfantasy fusion. Below the break, we dive in and find out!

Something a little different from Vylet's last release. This track features vocals from Cadie, as well as Vylet's own, as well as some really cool sax samples. Swinging and funky, this track is available on Vylet's new 12-track album Love Letters, which has a bunch of other cool tracks worth checking out too! Dunno if this could properly be described as electro jazz, but I think that gives a pretty good indication of what you're in for at least.

Spiders. Why'd it have to be spiders?
Okay, I've reached my Indiana Jones-inspired quota for the week. Let's talk about the latest adventure.
Be warned, these are raiders of the lost spoilers!

Progressive Element has bandied around with a massive variety of different genres, including ones very few people in the pony fandom have tried, from neuro drum & bass to bassline house. Here, he's given future bass a shot, and I really like how he's managed to put together some pretty dissonant elements to create a cohesive product that, at least in my opinion, works really well. With some really cool automation techniques on the chords especially, this is definitely worth checking out.

MLP: Friends Forever #32 Released Today! - Download Links, Variants, Discussion!
by The Illustrious Q"Asps. Very dangerous. You go first!"
Let's play a game with this issue. Considering that Daring Do is a parody/homage to Indiana Jones, let's see how many references we can find in this comic that fantastic trilogy from the 80s that Ted Anderson, Jay Fosgitt, and Heather Breckel were able to squeeze into this issue.
Daring Do doesn't count.
I'd be surprised if there weren't at least six wisely chosen references throughout. Of course, you can always see how off the mark I was by checking out the links below!
