Back on Tuesday, we did a livestream event with one of our new artists Allyster Black, joining NCMares, and Dileak. From these collaborations came some freakin awesome Little Pip art. Expect more of those on Tuesdays.
Start with those three, then get LOADS of other ponies after!

Snails looks like he's about to jump out from under the leaf and start a rendition of Singing in the Rain. Hmm. I wonder if Richard Ian Cox would be open to such a request at the next convention he shows up to.
Anyways, thanks to our friends at IDW, Equestria Daily is proud to bring you the exclusive six page preview of the thirty-ninth issue of Friendship is Magic! And of course, you can find it below the break!

There is another book set listed on Hatchette's website with an expected release date of October. Outside of the 640 page count and $18 price tag, nothing else is really included or hinted at. With such a low price point, it is most likely one of the small packs as opposed to that awesome Daring Do chest above, but there is always a chance we will see another collector series again.
The submitter, Brony250, guesses that it will be a pack of Princess books, as the Twilight one will be out just before October.
Regardless, we will let you know when we know more!

Mattel and Hasbro Discussing Merger Again?
by Calpain
The world's biggest toy makers are at it again as talks of a merger are dancing in the air again according to Reuters, Fortune, and The Detroit News. Apparently an offer was made by Hasbro to Mattel late last year and talks have been on and off since.
Other than talk about a potential deal there isn't really much information, but if the two did merge we would see the largest toy maker on Earth, bringing the likes of Barbie and MLP under one flag.
What do you guys who are more versed in Mattel's history think? Could a merge have effects on Hasbro brands and what do you think Hasbro would do with Mattel brands?
Thanks for everyone who sent it in!

Equestria Girls Mini has a new short out dedicated to Rarity. Like the others, it really does take that "short" tag to the next level. Who knows, maybe they actually meant short episodes and these are teasing an upcoming one?
Go check it out below the break!

Equestria Daily Interview Series: Interview with IDW MLP Comic Writer and Cover Artist Thom Zahler
by The Illustrious Q
Thom Zahler is someone whose work I first ran into back in 2007. It was the twentieth anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Pocket Books—an imprint of Simon & Schuster, the company the holds the license for publishing Star Trek Books—had published a short story anthology called The Sky's the Limit. I've had that book for nine years now, and every so often my mind wanders back to one particular story in that collection.
The story that I keep going back to—'Til Death—is the same story co-written by Thom Zahler. A man who has become a fairly regular presence on the IDW My Little Pony Comic Line. Considering how large a part of my life the comic line has become, it's ironic that one man who I got to know extremely well for My Little Pony is put together a short story for the biggest franchise in my life.
Thom, I tip my hat to you.
Below the break you'll find a transcript of the interview I was honored to conduct with IDW Cover Artist and Writer Thom Zahler. I hope you'll enjoy delving into his history, comic properties, and a very Trekkie analysis of Trixie and Rainbow Dash as much as I did. Strap yourselves in folks, you're in for a wild ride.

Puns are the staple of pony humor! Without puns, well, I'm not sure what sort of show or fandom we'd have.
Comic time guys! Get the rest after the break!
