Ciderfest over in Milwaukee has been in full swing over this last weekend, and here are two more tunes from their charity album! PegasYs brings a smooth and intricate remix of Arch and bank's recent release, whilst Nevermourn teams up with EVRLST to create a heavy neuro tune inspired by Fallout Equestria. We are trying a new experiment to give newbie artists, or even veterans that want to experiment with poses and styles they aren't comfortable with a place to practice! As was gathered back during our suggestion post a few weeks ago, people were looking for a post like the pony theme day open art compilations that regularly happen to display art that didn't quite make it to Drawfriend. As one of the harder posts to get into on the site, this should give a good alternative!
What do you need to do? Create either a Deviant Art or Tumblr account, upload your art, and send a link to submit@equestriadaily.com with OPEN ART as the subject line. That's it! All new drawings are welcome.
Pony days will still have an extra OPEN ART compilation, so feel free to draw for that instead each week. Or both. It's entirely up to you.
This is only for new art, so anything created before this post will not be added. Please don't send something that was previously rejected. New submissions that don't make it to the Drawfriend will automatically go to Open Art unless the artist requests otherwise in their submission email.
Posts begin on Friday at 8:00 PM, and will happen every Friday at 8:00 PM blog time, unless we don't have enough. If we get a ton of submissions, we can add an extra day.
Hopefully this fosters a new place to help each other learn, as drawing can be one of the most challenging trades out there. I know I've bashed my head against it countless times.

Since JAPAN TIME was always such a huge hit here due to the concept of ponies with our beloved anime voices, this might be a relevant post for some of you! The Japanese version of Amazon has listed the My Little Pony Movie up for release over there. The release is set for the 5th of December and will be titled "The My Little Pony Movie: Princess' Adventure".

Remember that one time when Rainbow Dash entered a portal to another world thinking she'd meet Twilight but it turned out to be the wrong portal and she ended up dressing in style with her alter ego for a week? Good times. She pretends she didn't like it, but we all know she could have returned at any time.

With it's release just a day ago, the Best Gift Ever has already migrated over to iTunes in HD. I guess Hasbro wanted to sell a few before it hit worldwide syndication or something? Even episodes don't pop up this fast these days.

The syndicated radio show Brooke and Jubal recently did a skit calling someone up talking about My Little Pony as the father of someone the kid is dating. They have uploaded a cut of the entire thing over on their website. Whether these "pranks" are real or scripted is an endless debate, but it's pretty neat regardless.

GeekBrony might be most well-known for his YTPs and con vlogs, but he's become a seriously good musician lately too! In combination with some help on lyrics from Drummershy and Vylet's awesome vocals, plus a PMV video produced by DeviantXS, he's got something pretty special here!
