Upcoming Events: Tabitha and Andrea For Demonton Comic & Entertainment Expo, Plus Halloween Comic Fest Details
by Sethisto
It looks like yet another non-pony convention has scooped up both Tabitha St. Germaine and Andrea Libman for their special guests. The Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo in Canada on the 28th of September will be the place to go if you want to bug them about stuff!
And in other news, a bit more detail has been released on the Halloween exclusive release for the MLP Comic. Halloween ComicFest doesn't actually take place in any specific location, but is instead a country-wide event at loads of different stores on the 26th the the 27th of October. More information can be found here if you want to go grab the Halloween edition of the MLP comic.
Thanks to Super Luigi 64 for the heads up. -

[Shipping] It takes a lot of confidence to reach out and grab everything that you want and desire. It takes even more to put that which you desire in the position of wanting you. Craine plays a delicate game with Spike and Rarity, and succeeds entirely. - Pre-Reader #13
Author: Craine
Description: Confidence. A valuable trait. One that tempers the mind with an iron will, and swells the voice with power. An asset that sways the strong and inspires the weak. An unsinkable ship that braves the rapids of doubt, and sails her captain through any storm.

This cover was revealed a few days ago, but it has logos and writing everywhere. Andy Price has uploaded it to his Deviant Artpage for those of you that are like me, and can't wait for pony pirates. Just look at hot happy Rarity is. And Fluttershy looks amazing with a skullcap and admiral jacket.
I love pirates.
Head on over here to grab it. -
Bat ponies? That is so yesterday. How could I ever forget Fluttershy dressed in various pieces of human clothing? It's impossible to surpass this. Nuclear dawwsplosions everywhere.
Go get some short roundup stuff below while I gather up the recent socks/sweaters/bunny ears/ect Fluttershy images I missed out on while chasing bat pony nonsense.

But on that note, I have an important message that some of you might want to make note of: it's come to my attention that some people are submitting drawings which, while they are fitting of the themes, they had drawn at a time unrelated to the event, sometimes months ago. I don't have a very good or efficient way of checking this, so if you want to keep doing it then go for it I guess, but... please think for a second about how self defeating this is. Maybe you think you have art chops aplenty, but there's always room for improvement, and you make that a lot harder on yourself by taking the easy route. So I implore you: if you're going to submit for this year's event, please submit a drawing you've done specifically for that day's theme. Thank you.
On one final clerical note before we get back to the festivities, we're going to be opening our first makeup gallery on Saturday, Day 10. If you didn't get a submission in before the box closed, or if you just plain missed your chance to draw a day, this is your first opportunity to make up for it. Makeup galleries stay open for 3 days, so prepare yourselves! Now then, happily continuing our 6 day consecutive streak of ponies with 3D Maneuver Gear, today's gallery is kind of a big deal, but it's small potatoes compared to what we'll accomplish later. Just you wait and see.
A theme, a theme, my blogdom for a theme! A week of ponies is no small feat, methinks. At such times, a little rest is in order. Today, Draw a pony laying down/Draw a pony lying. And before any grammarians get on my case about this, the direct obeject of laying is implied, so nyeh. Please submit all entries here by 11:59 PM, Pacific time on Thursday, August 22. You'd better get ready!
