Frozen Night returns with an awesome track that has a lot more of a metal focus than any of their previous recent spotlights. With heavy and solemn guitars and a steady drumbeat, this track isn't especially happy sounding, with more of a downbeat tone to it. The picture fits the track really well, and it's great to hear the piece steadily grow more intricate as it progresses. I especially the love the part 4 minutes in that combines the light piano sound with the heavy guitar riffs.

The running of the leaves and drum & bass go together as concepts like peas in a pod, and the music here definitely fits the art. Sky Runner has burst onto the scene recently with some awesome drum & bass tunes, and it's really cool to see the consistent quality in their releases at this early stage. With some really pretty plucks and arpeggiated sounds this piece has a bit of a trance-like quality to it and it certainly keeps me hooked the whole way through, definitely worth checking it out if you like drum & bass!

These three have apparently started invading stores. The trio of them were found at a Barnes and Noble in Chicago, IL. According to the submitter, they are slightly taller than the regular beanie ponies they released in the last wave. Chances are this is part of the lineup for this year that was announced during Toy Fair.

Giving Cartoon Ponies a Dose of Realism - Artist Interview and Spotlight with Tsitra360!
by Sethisto
I've actually known Tsitra since before pony was even a thing. He has been honing his craft for what seems like ages with tremendous progression over the past ~decade. You've probably seen his art in the top sections of just about every pony sphere out there, as the style is pretty iconic. These days he seems to bounce between extreme realism with all the bony little horse joints, to a more cartoon smooth style, with seemingly different mini-fanbases for each side.
His mastery of texture and the extreme depth of his coloring makes them some of the most memorable out there, with many an epic world-shattering pony drawing to choose from. Basically the ultimate desktop wallpaper bait.
Anyway, interview and spotlight time! Go get it all below.

Commission-Sunset Shimmer (Again) by LostInTheTrees

A terrifing bit of merchandise has appeared over in Indonesia at a store called Nadhi Mart. For those not in the know, Cupcakes is a super oldschool mega-grimdark fanfic about Pinkie Pie essentially "collecting" wings and cutie marks from ponies of Equestria. Someone over at the pirate pony merchandise factory probably saw the vector and thought it looked cute.
Dear god why.
Thanks to C Nebula for sending it... I think.

Back to spotlight with another awesome chilled out track is ertrii. Here they've brought something pretty upbeat, though still retaining their signature chill flair. With a solid bassline, pretty piano and some really nice plucks, this one pulls you into the mood of the piece pretty quickly, and holds it right to the end.

"You're never gonna bring me down! You're never gonna break this part of me!"—Abbie Chambers as Sunset Shimmer
The My Little Pony Musical Librettist, Hugh Osborne, has been up news about My Little Pony Musical: Rainbow Rocks just recently completed it's World Premiere Opening in Jakarta this past weekend! The stage musical is a stage adaptation of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks.
Judging by the looks of the stage, the background, this looks like the rock convert it's been described as. The musical is in English with a complete British cast. So if it happens to come to the US—and specifically a city near you—it might be worth checking out.
The next stops on the world premiere tour are in at the Theatre @Resorts Worlds in Sentosa, Singapore from November 24th, 2016 – November 27th, 2016 and the Kia Theatre in Manila from December 10th, 2016 – December 11th, 2016.

This one actually popped up over on Amazon a few months ago as an unlisted item with no information, but it has apparently already started sneaking into stores. The Chrysalis above was bought at ThinkGeek in Humble, Texas. She's a lot more reminiscent of the Celestia and Luna figures, going for more of the statuette style as opposed to the action figure toy her other incarnation represents.
Hopefully this means she plans to flood everywhere! Considering the reveal is apparently the release, either someone screwed up, or it's a silent drop.
Thanks to Hunter for the heads up!
