Sound design is front and centre in these two awesome tracks. First up, bank pain showcases just what you can do with a track when you have a clear inspirational idea in mind. Based upon JawJoe's fanfic 'Monsters', the track has a heavy neuro-style drop before the advent of dawn later in the piece is signalled by some gorgeous use of consistent bass presence and soft plucks. The second track from Crystarium & R3CTIFIER combines some great arabian compositional flavour with aggressive screechy sound design throughout the drops. Check them both out below the break!

Trixie does not look like a happy pony. What do you think happened to tick her off? Someone is so going to be turned into a teacup.

INTERVIEW: Writers Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc Drop Some Clues on Ponyville Mysteries!
by The Illustrious QPictured From Left to Right: Nicole Dubuc, The Illustrious Q, Mike Vogel

I know a lot of our readers are eagerly awaiting the release of My Little Pony: Coloring Harmony: Dazzling Designs from Equestria next week on July 4th—and after picking up the book at BookCon for the premiere release I cannot blame them, the book is awesome. However, Little Brown is launching a new MLP Chapter Book series literally one day before that!
My Little Pony: Ponyville Mysteries is a series of chapter books written by Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc which focus on the Scooby-Doo like shenanigans Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo get up to. I had no idea those three where detectives. Then again, when considering all the fields of study they practiced while earning their cutie marks they probably learned transferable skills.
To help celebrate the upcoming releases, Equestria Daily had the honor of interviewing co-authors Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc about the book series! There was much laughter to be had as these two chatted about the books, how they both got involved with MLP, and what might end up happening if A.K. Yearling ever met Penumbra Quill.
Be sure to check out the whole thing after the break!

The world of Go-Karting just got ponified. This Rainbow Dash themed machine up above was crafted by a group of bronies interested in bringing pony to their hobby. Apparently it placed 2nd in open class, so it's a lot more than just pretty Rainbow Dash colors.
Head on down below the break for more images.

This reminds me of that old movie I watched a bunch as a kid with the kid and his dead horse in the swamp. I probably could have googled that but Drawfriend is already 3 minutes late so WE POST!

Drum & Bass Music: Progressive Element - Lost Woods / New Reverian - Kaleidoscopes
by ExplodingPonyToastSome contrasting drum & bass tunes in this post! First up Progressive Elements takes the idea of atmospheric music to an extreme, with a crazy combination of drum breaks, spooky synths and plenty of bird noises. The production quality of the track is insanely impressive! The second track is New Reverian's continuation of releasing Rainbow Dash-style drum & bass tunes, and the bright synths and upbeat percussion definitely lend themselves to such inspiration. Check out both tracks below!

With SDCC dropping next month, Hasbro has announced their second quarter webcast for the following Monday on July 24th. This is probably going to be a bigger one, as the pony will most likely be ramped up big time with the movie releasing relatively soon in October.
The press release doesn't reveal anything, so we will just have to wait and see what they do! I'm sure it will revolve around whatever they announce at SDCC though.
Get it below if you are curious

Aurelleah's recent orchestral works have been quite impressive, but here he's re-affirmed his ability to make super catchy and enjoyable electronic music as well! Featuring some excellent melodies that flow throughout the track, there's also some pretty strong bass stuff too that helps to drive it along. Check it out below the break!

Morning Discussion #898
by Calpain
Ah, the Steam Sales, the surest way for someone like me to have a crisis over money. At least it isn't the Christmas sale where I go nuts buying gifts for friends, but my bank account is certainly a little emptier thanks to the summer sale all the same.
