• BUCK Convention Compilation Extravaganza

The Brony UK Convention happened just this past weekend in Manchester. We asked for your images and accounts, and you delivered in spades.

Hundreds of bronies gathered together to have a good time and bond in the spirit of friendship, and by all reports a fantastic time was had by all. Check below the break for a metric ton of image galleries, videos, and tidbits from all of the proceedings!

I have no context for this but it's awesome

As you can see, there was a wide array of cosplaying, events, and just... people grouped up and ready to have fun. More than 700 people, in fact. And just about every single one of them took pictures. Don't take my word for it, though. Check out the official galleries (Day 1 and Day 2), the Google Plus Gallery, or the Yorkshire Bronies Gallery (ye gods, look at the size of this thing) to get a clearer understanding of all of the stuff that was happening here. Make sure you set aside an hour or two before you dive in, or you might get lost.

Here we have a clip from the auction that took place during the convention, of the most bid-on item. All told, this auction raised more than $5,000 for charity. Well done!

No convention is complete without guests and panels, and BUCK put its best foot forward. Shown above is a musicians panel featuring General Mumble, EqM, Pipsqueak, and Lavender Harmony, which comprises 50 minutes of people answering questions. If that's not enough for you, check out the official BronyUKCon youtube gallery for a full listing of event recordings.

Party cannon, whee! Among the highlights of BUCK was a full laser show put on by Laserpon3, who has pretty firmly cemented himself as the fandom's foremost authority on lasers. Which, if you had to pick a job, you could do a lot worse. Here, look for yourself!

But every convention and every convention post must come to an end, and when they do, there are usually Closing Ceremonies.

All in all, it looks like a great time was had by everybody who showed up. And we at EqD are thrilled to hear it! Hopefully the next one can be even bigger and better, with more guests, more attendees, and especially more pony. And when it happens, don't forget to tell us about it! We want to hear and report on all of the details so we can share them with the rest of you. Unfortunately, travel across the ocean is a teensy bit expensive, but we promise to do our best to cover everything as well as we can.

    Until next time!
