There are only so many background ponies a team can design before budgets start becoming a pain. There is a very good chance that a few of these characters right here will be characters we will see for the entirety of G5! At least on the pegasus side of things. Some have color schemes similiar to characters we loved for a full decade over on Generation 4.
So, which of these do you think is worthy of fandom adoption? To get the Lyra and Bonbon, Derpy Hooves, or Vinyl and Octavia treatment? Or are we going to need to see them in action before we can justify the flood of fan art and love they will get?

The Favorite Scene open art event submissions are currently being sorted through, but we do have a bunch of regular open art to post too! This week has been pretty crazy with lots of people putting their skills into the ring with the rise of G5 news permeating through the internet.

Over the past few days, we have seen a slew of new promo images appear from the Generation 5 movie. These include locations like Hasbro's various social media platforms to Netflix and it's rotating banners.
Some of these poses are old, some are completely new. We have a trailer so I'm pretty sure you all know what the pones look like and move like at this point. It's still interesting to see how they are showing off their assets though!

It times like this that my ideals on music kind of go out the window. I’m fully aware of what makes an ear worm and this was probably one of the biggest ear worms since “Helping Twilight Win The Crown” in the very first movie. This time it’s a music video from the time of Rainbow Rocks. Continuity wise, I have no idea when this takes place in terms of the movie and the other shorts for Rainbow Rocks. It’s obviously after everyone magically got their instruments and realized “hey I grow pony parts when I play music”. But most likely after Twilight was able to use Celestia’s book to get back to the human world…for a fair. If I were to give this short a moral, it would be there’s no harm in having a good day with friends. You don’t always need a reason to hang out, but it’s fun to do so. Either that or actually type where you are instead of using emojis to describe your locations. Anyway, getting too long winded for a generic pop song so let’s take a look at it.

Such heartfelt and relatable tributes to FiM always make me melt, and there's just that distinct emotion to them! Here Songbird Choir went the extra mile, and in addition to a very emotional song named after the Legacy that the show is giving us to uphold, crafted such a lovely PMV encompassing many memorable and emotional moments from the show! The progression is just perfect, and it's such a beautiful reminder of the ride... that keeps going with fan content!!

It is here!! Likonan's new version of his much, much wonderful ponification of The Riddle! (More precisely, Gigi D'Agostino's popular cover of Nik Kershaw's original song!) It's such a beloved and cherished ponification for me, ever since I found out about it through this awesome PMV using it (now removed from YouTube sadly) that is one of my favorite pony videos ever and that stayed very emotional for me for all these years. The emotion is real once again with this revised version from the OG musician Likonan (as you can see by my comment there), and the new vocals, sublimated melodies, and wonderful pony lyrics about the early seasons of MLP are hitting my soul once again as they call for nostalgia, brony spirit, and pony passion. This was made for the 9th anniversary of the original ponification, and I'm so thankful to Likonan for this... Such a sweet renewal of the brony spirit I felt then, giving me a new brony youth! I can only hope that you will appreciate this as much as I do! Ponies forever!! YAAAAAY!! (Fluttershy's voice)

According to their Instagram, Animation Magazine will be rockin the ponies for their September/October issue, which will be available during the first week of September. These guys have been reporting on the industry since 1987, so it's pretty damn awesome that they are pluggin pony so hard this time around. I have a feeling a lot of people want in on the pony ride this generation with how successful G4 was.

Kotobukiya has delayed both Celestia and Luna figures have apparently been delayed. in the case of Celestia it's not a huge gap, but Luna will be moving to next year. The exact changes:
- Celestia - From September 2021 to November 2021

Luna - From November 2021 to February 2022
This is pretty normal in the world of anime figures. They require a pretty huge investment to keep that quality bar high. Hopefully this means they are perfect at release!

Apparently theaters over in both Hong Kong and Singapore will both be running the My Little Pony: A New Generation movie, and in the case of Hong Kong it will be two days early compared to it's Netflix release later on. Singapore will be airing it in English (with chinese subtitles), while the Hong Kong release includes a cantonese version.
We also have a general description from one of the releases translated. I'll include that below. It doesn't really give any major new revelations, but it's interesting anyway.

Walmart is apparently still running some new G4 stuff, with this Pinkie Pie found in the wild. She comes complete with a little witch hat, socks, and a choker. It's about time we got some sock representation in the merchandise world!
The plushie clocks in at $20. Apparently not every store has her yet, so keep an eye out for halloween stuff going up if you want one.

The big culmination of pillars episodes had officially arrived. Considering both the comics and the show celebrated this concept, it was a pretty big push for the overall brand. Yet we still got almost no merchandise AT ALL from these characters. Where is my Somnambula figure Hasbro? Why you no want my money? Anyway, have episodes:

Snow Swirl shares with us a track made in 2019 which is seeing the light of day now and it's so appreciated! More precisely the light of the Evening... with definite Equestrian vibes present in the track, painting a scenery of a calm Ponyville at dusk with ponies walking by, and reminding of the atmosphere of Legends of Equestria.

Hasbro has fired off a press release and product reveal for an upcoming very spoilery Sunny Starscout toy. You may remember this one going up months ago, followed by a quick takedown. We only had a single image for it though without any packaging, so consider this the full official reveal, complete with product description!

A much, much wonderful initiative by Algo at All, this remix of the song from the S1 finale is just meant for emotion and reflection, with its slowed down vocals and the fuzzy vibes from the chill and magical instrumental. Some interesting new job postings have been released over at Boulder Media. Apparently they are recruiting for a new secret project, specifically for Netflix. It could be pony, or it could be something else, but they are definitely using Pony Life imagery to advertise it on Twitter.
You can apply for both a long term role or a short 2 month role. Both are based out of Dublin, Ireland.
