EG dolls have had mixed reactions from our fandom ever since they popped up. It's no secret not a lot of us are into the idea of collecting them, but they do seem to be changing over time based on fan feedback. For those of you that do vaccuum them up, we have a new line coming also found in that magazine from earlier.
As for when and where they will arrive, that remains to be seen. They could even be set to specifically target Brazilian markets. I'm sure we will find out more as Hasbro reveals it in the near future. -
MLP Cooking Supplies, Sports Equipment, Piano, and More on the Way According to Brazilian Magazine
by Sethisto
Hasbro heard you all didn't feel like your lives had nearly enough pony. They've decided to take over just about everything they possibly can if this Brazilian product magazine is any indication. A huge pony section is included, with lots of new things we haven't seen yet. Some of the big ones include:
Skateboards
Rollerblades
A Mini Piano
A Blender (Yeah I wut'd too)
An Oven
A Drum set
Guitar
Fake laptop
Teas Set
And Watches
Head on down below to check it all out!

They aren't pirates, but for some reason this game makes me want to play a game with pirates. Maybe the background is doing it.
It's art time! Get the usual swarm of it below!

Borderlands has dropped pony stuff in the past, and this new Claptrap addition with the Pre-Sequel is adding even more. We posted the talent trees a few days ago, but with PAX going on, videos have started to appear.
Below the break, you can find a demonstration of the Sonic Rainboom, as well as a whole bunch of random hearts, horsehoes, stars, and other things that seem to appear as blows things up.

It seems to be a growing trend for media outlets to send a few unsuspecting journalists out to a pony thing and see how they react. The prospect of stepping into something totally outside the norm is appealing to people. We've posted a few of these, but this one definitely takes an interesting spin on it.
Womens media site (or news blog) Jezebel sent someone who is completely outside of the pony sphere to check out BronyCon a few weeks ago. She has no interest in cartoons or anything meant for children, yet dove in regardless, albiet with a boatload of reservations. Overall, her experience seems to have been positive, with an extra layer of "why am I doing this" thrown in for a bit of good ol' drama reading. It's fin to see what we look like after three days of pony bombardment to the average non-geeky person.
You can find the entire article over here!
(Warning: Some of the links do lead to clop images. If that isn't your thing, don't click them)
(Update: Since some are confused, this is a different "Seth". I wasn't at BronyCon.)

Heya everyone! Cal here with a reminder of two sections of our site that newer folks might not know about. A little over a year ago we unveiled the Meetup Map and the Tutorial page, resources for the community to not only find other pony fans in their area, but also to contribute to the community by learning from guides provided by skilled artists in our fandom. Since their unveil all that time ago, and especially after the site redesign that moved links to these resources off the front page, submissions for each have slowed down quite a bit.
So, if any one of you out there have tutorials to share or meetup groups you want added to the map, please send them to [email protected] with either Meetup Group or Tutorial in your subject line. If it's your first time hearing of either of these resources, check them out! We really hope they help.

Leave it to these two to not be phased by anything around them. I swear I've seen this comic before, but the page views indicate we haven't had this up so here it is!

The University of Brighton funded a one day MLP convention and now has folks complaining they shouldn't have used public funds for it.
The convention was a very small one day affair with nine hours of talks and folks coming from as far away as Finland for the intellectual discussion. You can find the University's promo piece here. The piece states they want to better understand how MLP has affected and is affected by various part of culture.
The public apparently feels this wasn't a valid use of time and is complaining, though the school is unrepentant and also points out they made a very small profit.
Check out the article here.

For you FoE fans, here's a super detailed Blackjack! Looks like she is celebrating being turned into such an excellent sculpt!
Speaking of excellence, check on after the break for even more awesomeness.

Know who makes a way better piggie bank than Twilight and Rainbow Dash? Pinkie Pie. Look at that pig. That is a perfect pig. I never though I'd see the day.
From the looks of it, the model is a bit different than the other two that were announced a while back. That or those were prototypes all along. It's a mystery until they hit stores!

As part of an "Ask Amy" column over on the Fresno Bee, a concerned aunt seeks guidance for her nephew who picked up a My Little Pony lunchbox for school. It looks like she is completely supportive of his decision, but still worries that he will be picked on. Overall, it sounds like Amy recommends letting the kid do his thing. Being picked on is just part of breaking the norm and being creative right? I know I rocked some Lisa Frank as a kid, while blasting aliens to goo on the side in Doom. Mixing it up is fun.
If that sounds like a fun thing to read for you, head on over here to check it out!
Thanks to Sleeptsteve for the heads up! -
Fresh off the presses, Hasbro has tweeted that on Tuesday, September 9th it will be releasing the upcoming Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks Official Soundtrack on iTunes. For those keeping score at home, that's a full 3 weeks before the release of the movie. There are currently no details on pricing of the album but based on previous MLP:FiM albums, we can safety say that it should be around $9.99USD.
For those of you interested in the full track listing, check out this post we made in early August featuring all the songs in Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks. -
It looks like yet another brushable set is on it's way if this image found on Taobao is any indication. Fluttershy now rocks the butterfly wings. Currently she's the only one leaking, but we will probably see a few others join her. Expect more some time in the distant future!
Thanks to Micheal for the image.
