EQD Ask Us Anything / Suggestion Gathering Monday! Bring All your Tough Questions and Ideas
by Sethisto
It's time time again! We are hosting an Ask us Anything at 5:00 PM PST Monday here in the comments. Typically, we like to do a few of these each year to answer any nagging questions or gather any ideas you all might think would help improve the site.
So, gather your ideas. Prep your complaints or questions, and come get anything you want to know about answered. We might do one in the Discord chat room at some point too, but chat rooms are a bit less easy to navigate than the comments.
See you on Monday! -
With this weekend being MLP's big movie weekend there is a lot of speculation going around on how well it will do. A variety of websites from BoxOfficeMojo to Variety have predictions for this weekend (even though they mostly focus on Blade Runner) and here is how it stacks up. It appears they expect an opening between the $10-$15 million dollar range, except for BoxOfficeMojo who appears to think it will have a hard time cracking $9 million.
You can read their individual analyses below! Thanks to DrForester for sending it in.

That is some absolutely incredible art right there. Like I'd put it on my wall level art.
I should probably note that while previous Drawfriend posts have been using characters from the movie, we've only really started seeing actual scenes are appearing now that it has released. Expect a bit of that trickled in.
Anyway, art below!

With the launch of the movie, Build a Bear is offering all pony plushies for 2 for $35 as part of an event to celebrate it. This also incluides a poster (the image above without the text) and a free blindbag pony. It also earns you $5 off a ticket to see the movie.
It looks like this is only happening in store, so you will need to travel over there if you want in.
And in other news, they did a short interview on the red carpet at New York. Check that out over here.
Thanks to Victor and Phanff for the heads up.

"But we already had a Trixie one!" ...I forgot! So much Trixie happens here on a day-to-day basis that it sometimes all merges together. I guess we will Trix again then? I already told everyone on Patreon we were using her. Woops!
Next month - STARLIGHT! How could I forget her? I feel bad now.
Anyway, your celebration post has arrived and once again I want to thank everyone (all 266 of you!) for contributing. Most people don't claim these rewards, which is probably a sign of how bad they are, but I can't think of any that would fit without making EQD some pay-to-view garbage that I'd hate running. Hopefully we can gather some ideas soon. We will be doing another AMA Post here for all questions.
Anyway, below the break get the people that did claim things. Onward to another month!

I can't only hope Twilight is ok after this... That is going to be one heck of an explosion.
Comics my friends! Get them after the break.

For those of you looking for something to do this weekend before or after going to the MLP Movie, why not help give to charity? Peter New is going to be doing a Gaming Charity Stream on Saturday and our favorite pony of few words could really use some help to help those effected by Vegas and the hurricane that hit Puerto Rico!
Check on after the break for all the details.

While yesterday's initial offering wasn't all that impressive, the My Little Pony Movie took a huge turnaround over night over on Rotten Tomatoes. The meter jumped a whopping 6 points, with an army of 2,404 users reporting a 91% like ratio on the audience score side.
Hopefully this trend continues. Apparently a score of 75% or higher after 80 reviews gives a movie a "Fresh" title, but the audience score is important too so if you enjoyed the movie, be sure to rate it.

Dj Gestap is unequivocally the top producer in the fandom when it comes to this style of progressive trance, whilst Lily Stilson makes a more than capable protégé, so to see them teaming up like this is pretty awesome! With some great acid-y bass sounds, euphoric piano, great use of plucks and awesome trance-y progressions, this track definitely works well to emulate the feeling of Rainbow Dash blasting through the sky. Check it out below!

Morning Discussion #999
by Calpain
I wonder what happens when one of the princesses falls asleep on the job and misses out on their duties? Considering all they do it must create a certain amount of chaos.
Morning everyone! Chat time.
One more day to send me your special submissions for MD #1000! Send them all in to calpain@equestriadaily.com.
