AntonyC Tackles Fair Use
by Calpain
AntonyC who has been a part of projects with KP and runs an analysis/review channel on Youtube has released a video talking about Fair Use, especially concerning the use of the leaked DHX MLP assets that dropped quite some time ago.
While using the KP drama from this summer as his starting point and returning to it throughout his video, he does bring up some points that can apply generally to the fandom about what Fair Use means and argues how the term has been misused. We at EqD are in no way experts at copyright law, but I thought his views were worth a look and I wanted to share his video with you all and hear your thoughts on the matter.
Do you agree with Antony or did he miss something? Leave your thoughts in the comments and check out the video after the break!
Thanks to everyone who sent it in!

Our followup schedule got a tad messed up, so I return once again for this one. Hopefully Starlight Glimmer was up to your exceedingly difficult to please standards last time fandom. I try! I really do! We all do!
Since this was another one of those episodes light on references but great on character interaction, I'll probably get opiniony again. I have a lot of those. Six years in the pony trenches will do that to a man. I've seen some things.
(In other news, It's really hard to keep language SFW in these followups after binge watching standup on Netflix. It corrupted my short term memory beyond repair)
Anyway, go get your followup below!

DJRS tends to focus on the deeper genres of house music, creating a groove and an atmosphere that's easy to get into. Here though, they've taken that to the next level. Taking their own vocals from a cover they did of 4everfreebrony's song Hoping, they've sped them up and created an instrumental around them that makes this feel like the kind of vocal deep house that you hear on the radio that's been insanely popular in the last couple of years. Easily my favourite release from them so far, and absolutely worth checking out!

We've had a lot of requests for guest editorials over the years, but our foray into taking those was met with an overwhelming amount of gigantic ones we really didn't have the manpower to review and go through. I think this might be a good alternative. We are now opening a "Letters to the Editor""Pony "Community Soapbox" Section. It's your chance to soapbox whatever you'd like, with a few requirements:
- 500 Word Maximum, 100 Minimum (Use this to count)
- No explicit content
- No gory content
- Must be pony or fandom related
For now, we will be experimenting with a weekly post with a specific number in each based on how many come in. I have no Idea how successful something like this will be, so if we get a crazy amount or don't get enough, we will adjust the number of posts and letters in each as we see it.
The first post will be tomorrow.
So, how do you submit? Get the info below!

Despite the rumorings, Funko hasn't pulled out of pony yet! An adorable new lineup is on the way out of them covering the Power Ponies. Hot Topic got the exclusive reveal this time around. They may be a few years late, but I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up a few of those if I can find them single.
Expect them next month at some point. No specific date.
Thanks to IXIBLAT, James, and Tolopia for the heads up.

Remember when I reported on this little pony inspired game a coupe weeks ago? Some of you voiced doubts about it with good reasons. Sometimes you need more than promises and video to know what a game is like and the creator of the game has heard your concerns!
Over on the Kickstarter page the creator has released a demo of the game for you all to try out and see for yourself if it is something you'd like to back! He has included a video of him showing off some of the demo landscape and flying as well as a link to someone who has done a Let's Play of it if you'd like to check those out before downloading the game.
Check after the break for the video and a link to the download page.

It's that time of month again! Voting has opened for the top pony music of September, and I highly encourage all of you consume pony music to throw in your 2 cents - the more people who vote, the more legitimate the results are for the eventual top 10. If you're not sure what came out in September, Günz Brony has you covered with a playlist of everything that came out over the last month. You can check that out here, and you can vote for the tracks you love the most here!Voting has also opened for the top pony videos of September, which is also well worth voting in - a lot of people spend huge amounts of time creating animations and other videos so it's always nice to see their efforts rewarded with a bit of extra recognition. Voting for this one requires you to post in the comments of the announcement video, so make sure to check that one out below along with the announcement video for the music one!

A double feature of sorts this time! 4everfreebrony has released something a little bit more pop-y and electronic than his work normally is, with a really well done piece called Bound With Time. The vocals on show are fantastic as always from 4everfree, and I really like the arp in the chorus, that really adds some extra flavour. Synthis has also released a remix of it that turns up the tempo and adds some bass to the mix that helps to accentuate some of the good qualities of the original whilst also giving it a distinctly Synthis flair. Check them both out below!op 6:00 AM
