We'll just pretend there's a sick nasty mashup of Equestria Girls and Friendship is Magic songs blasting through your speakers.
Why? Forgotten Friendship's coming out tomorrow and we finally got some Hasbro approved teasing for season 8, of course! What a time to be alive.
While the hype eats away at my insides, I wanted to take a look at our canon magical (horse) girls AU and just how it differs from the main show. Not really to determine the better series (although if you want to make your case in the comments, go for it), but instead to answer the question of what this spinoff/sister series has to offer that you can't already get with the ponies they're based on.
To be blunt, what's the point, almost 5 years in, of Equestria Girls?

Hasbro's New York Toy Fair presentation was a little light on the pony news, but we did get a pretty major bit in the form of an upcoming hotel plan from Hasbro. They have teamed up with Mariott to create hotel rooms based on My Little Pony and Transformers over in Shanghai. A concept image of each can be found above.
Outside of teasing that it's just the beginning, they didn't release anymore information on it, but Toy Fair technically hasn't even opened yet, so expect the flood to begin tomorrow.

It's finally here! In the works for the past 2 years, Exiark's new 19 track album Otherworldly Journey is now released. Honestly it's one of the best electronic albums released in the fandom in my opinion, with vocal features from Chi-Chi, FritzyBeat, Megaphoric, ForeverFreest and Namii, as well as instrumental collaborations with NekoWolf and lia;quo amongst a bunch of other incredible works.
