Music: Elias Frost - Party At Puddinghead's [Orchestral Folk] / Time Baby - Blossom (Winterlight Remix) [Chill/Ambient]
by ExplodingPonyToastSome very interesting music here. First up Elias Frost is back with the next track from his upcoming EP, a very folk-y sounding piece with plenty of lovely orchestral elements as well. Inspired by the events of hearth's warming eve, it envisions what a medieval pony party might sound like, with plenty of old-style celtic sounds and some beautiful, fun composition. In a second spot, an atmospheric remix of a pop-y song from a few years ago. Time Baby hasn't released anything for a while, but they're back with a soft and spooky remix of one of their most popular older tunes, under the name Winterlight. Make sure to give them both a listen below!

Luna looks very pensive tonight, I wonder what she is thinking of as she takes a little time to herself?
Evening everyone, ready to chat?

After months of planning, friends of MelodicPony who passed away last year, are ready to have his amazing works turned into a piece played by orchestra in a live performance. Melodic was one of the early pony musicians that created epic music to help describe the world of Equestria not in words but through his talent in music.
A Kickstarter has been created to help cover the costs of the first step of this project of converting his
music into a proper musical score. A second Kickstarter will be this summer to pay for the actual orchestra so stay tuned for that! But to get to that we need to fulfill this first step.
Check after the break for more details from the people spearheading the project along with a link to donate.

I wish I was cool like Celestia. The last swans that saw me wanted me dead more than anything.

I know I'll get angry emails for posting non-pony, but we have been entertained by Allstiff for so long I feel like it's worth branching off a bit for this giant pile of coolness. He has combined Sherlock Holmes with the characters from Zooptopia in an incredibly well-stylized parody video.
Head on down below to check it out!

Rock Music: Ponysphere & Secret Metal - Fine Lady [Metal] / Luck Rock - Luna's Dream
by ExplodingPonyToastSome heavy and not so heavy music in this post! First up Ponysphere and Secret Metal combine to bring on a heavy classic metal-style tune about Rarity. Their vocals work great with the instrumental, that doesn't go overboard in the aggression, and instead works well in combination. Some really cool backing vocal cries help to add an extra dimension to the piece as well, not to mention the guitar solo. The second piece is a more acoustic-oriented piece from Luck Rock that focuses on Luna, with some lovely orchestral elements helping to complement the guitar, and steady vocals. Get them both below the break!

The big 100th episode was one of the most popular here on EQD, and ever since then many have been begging for more of the ponies that got a spotlight in it. So far, Hasbro hasn't been too keen on side series sticking to ponyland and just running with a secondary cast, but it could always happen if the 7th season keeps the train rolling and movie brings in tons of people.
The question is, how keen would you be on it? A side series pretty much built on what the fandom has created over the years with the many background ponies we have essentially adopted. Do you want to keep these guys in the background? Or flesh them out even more?

The Wonderbolts haven't had the best run over the franchise's history. Maybe they can turn it around by saving a whole Empire from Changelings.
Of course, they've got to get there first. Let's see what they do in this chapter of Guardians of Harmony.
Read the review after the break but watch out for super-sonic spoilers!

With Easter around the corner, many a holiday themed merchandise piece is hitting the shelves for all the parents out there to pick up for their kids. Of course, a side market is looking to hop on as well, and kids aren't the only ones packin on the pony for the season. These chocolate eggs were found at ASDA by Tre.
Anyway, get that and more below!

Hachette has another book coming in the Equestria Girls lineup. This one doesn't have much information on it other than the release date and length at 208 pages, but it does mean we are going to continue seeing future EG Content after the three shorts releasing later this year.
It has a pretty generic description:
Join Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Apple Jack, and Fluttershy as they rely on their special friendships to guide them through the highs and lows of being students at Canterlot High.
Thanks to Brony250 for the heads up!

Totalspark takes on yet another genre, with his attempt at trance on show here. Building in with some soft, dark pads and slight vocal sounds, his vocals then come in to complete the introductory atmosphere - his soft vocals fit really well with this kind of music. The main part builds in pretty quickly, with the soft atmosphere taken over by some heavy trance synth vibes, before we're treated to some lovely outro piano. Make sure to give it a listen below the break!
