I just love moths, they're so fuzzy and cute! Looks like this moth has grown quite attached to AJ though it's going to be awful hard to put her hat on with it there.

Lets assume for a moment that an episode in glorious Season 5 pops up with a completely different focus that what we usually see. Gone are the mane cast, CMC, and Spike, replaced by a single minor character from one of the previous seasons. This could include any of the oneshots, from Photo Finish to Maud Pie.
So, good citizens of online ponyland and readers of Equestria Daily, you have a choice. Which character do you want to see with his or her own episode, and what would they do in it?

Everyone following the G.M. Berrow lineup of books has something new to look forward to in 2015! Two more have been announced, one centered around Discord, the other Celestia. At the moment, we don't have synopsis of either of them, but Celestia's book is labeled as part of "The Princess Collection" on Hatchett's website. Could that mean some Cadance and Luna are on the way after? Or maybe another Twilight Sparkle book?

According to Hollywood Reporter, the Hasbro and Dreamworks merger talks may have been wiped out due to a conflict of interest with Disney. According to their sources, Disney made a note that Hasbro would be labeled as competition if the deal actually happened. As you all are probably pretty aware, Dreamworks and Pixar are the two big names in the world of CGI mega movies, and as owners of Pixar who also work with loads of Hasbro's brands, it probably would have been rocky if their rivals were suddenly in with the clique.
Considering we also saw the stock hits, I'd be doubtful that this plan would, ever come back in the future. Maybe we can get our CGI pony fix from Pixar instead? Do it Disney!

A small teaser at the end of an email blast from the Humble Bundle team has hinted at the possibility of ponies for their 11/26/14 sale. While nothing is set in stone and very little information is available, it's hard not to draw a connection.
I for one am hoping this is the case!

A bit of interesting 3D art has appeared. Apparently this thing is fully rigged and ready to animate according to CreatorOfPony over on Deviant Art. If that Hasbro/Dreamworks merger actually did survive a few days ago, I can imagine something like this would be the result.
So what do you think fandom? Would you watch a 3D/CGI EG movie?
Personally I'd prefer it as ponies, but I'll take anything at this point!
