Apparently Mexico's Applejack themed cereal isn't the only pony getting some love. This has been an ongoing trend with Rainbow Dash starting it off, followed by Twilight. Applejack is the third in the line.
These are all under Great Value branding, so it's really more of a theme than an actual specifically target pony thing. Still fun to see them invade other areas though! Each one gets a specific type.
Thanks to La Pared for the heads up.

Luna doesn't seem to be too enthusiastic about her bath. But who doesn't like a nice sponge bath with toys?!
Evening guys, times to chat.

A few days ago, we announced that McDonalds would be including a Rainbow Dash car in their upcoming holiday train sets for happy meals. These have started hitting their various restaurants, with the usual staggered toys at different locations. Some will have her, some won't, but they should eventually get some throughout the month.
You can sometimes call ahead, but don't always expect a response at a Mcdonalds.
Thanks to Sarah and Violet for sending it.

"Honest Apple" is an entire episode dedicated to Applejack's pragmatic honesty pitted against the world of designer clothes. The premise of the episode is funny enough with a clear message: don't be too critical. There's just one thing that intrigues me: Rarity's confidence in picking Applejack as a judge. Rarity, arguably Equestria's most fashion forward pony, simply thinks it's a good idea. So, was Rarity's decision based completely on a plot convenience?
Trying my hoof at editorial writing for the first time here on Equestria Daily, I'm Platonic and I'd like to take an avant-garde look at "Honest Apple" and everyone's favorite fashion pony. A look into Rarity's motivations this episode after the break.

Another in the Equestria Girls line of books has officially dropped as of today. Amazon has a slight price reduction on it if you want to pick it up and read it in either digital or hardcover formats. Unfortunately the description on the page for it is still pretty vague, buy you can still check out the inside via their preview.
Thanks to R B for the heads up.

Mikuma/Xavi has been on quite a roll recently with some exceptionally cool tracks, and this remix of I'll Fly is a breath of fresh air for the original tune as well. Giving a bouncy background to the vocals of the original, it builds up steadily throughout before dropping into a super cool bouncy drop that makes great use of the signature feel of the genre. Check it out below!

If digital isn't your thing, the My Little Pony Movie is now available for pre-order over on Amazon. Unlike the shout factory DVD's, we did get some blu-ray this time. I don't think anyone doubted that though.
The release date is officially January 9th. Have some links to go pre-order:
