• Nightly Roundup #618

Good evening everyone! Hungry for a snack? How about some Sweetie Belle to help ward off your hunger for a bit? Too bad looking directly at her results in stoppage of the heart, but that's a risk you've got to take for the sweetest milkshake around!

Time for some news everyone! Oh, and I'm glad to hear you like the This Day in Pony History segment. I'll try and convince Seth to add it into his Roundups so we have continuous coverage!

A Thank You To EqD And The Community

I received this little video in my inbox a couple days ago and after giving it a view I had a smile plastered on my face. All of us I'm sure has a similar story of how the community has given us tons of fun and wonderful memories, and this little thank you message exemplifies that! Thanks for making it Sheri, we think you rock!

    Nerdy Nummies Makes Pony Cupcakes!

The fandom's love for sweets is insatiable as is apparent from the number of requests for the host of Nerdy Nummies to make some pony themed food items. As a result she has pulled through with a video dedicated to making My Little Pony themed cupcakes! Check it out above for the deliciousness.

We interviewed a bunch of people at the meetup including a local CMC group and some brand new members to SoCal Bronies! Keep an eye out for yourself if you were there and let us know in the comments below.

After that, we reviewed the Brony Census Report, compiled by Coder Brony! The survey polled almost 22,000 bronies all over the world and allowed the community to gather an insane amount of data on the fandom. We reviewed most of that data and were able to make a few correlations. Comments or something else you'd like to point out? Tell us below!

Finally, we review Snowdrop, a new Fan Animation which made each of us all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Moreover, there were a few things that we wanted to point out, so we hope you enjoy!

    Successful Meetups

    Brony Shoot Meetup

Brony Shoot: Friendship is Range Time / SpicerCon

Ponies arrived Friday night and left Sunday morning. On Saturday the fifty of us had over 40 firearms to choose from and a mountain of ammo, and Brony Shoot provided bronies the opportunity to learn proper safety and technique in a novice-focused environment. While a handful were rotating through the range, the other attendees were chopping wood and socializing around a bonfire, watching our resident Ninja slice water jugs with his katana, and enjoying and archery shootout between our resident astronomer and Ninja. Brony Shoot ended with a mad minute downrange, and then two shots from our replica civil war mortar.

After nightfall SpicerCon started. DJ Hollowpoint played his four hour set and bronies, both fine & rowdy danced the night away, but also split the night between the salt water hot tub and the dance floor – enjoying an Argentinian family recipe batch of clerico all the while. ;)

Sunday morning was a Lion King marathon in the Theater Room before departing just prior to the mini snow front. Oh, and Fluffle Puff was there too (check the Meetup link XD she's REAL)!!!

    Chicago Meetup

The Windy City Bronies held their seventh monthly breakfast meetup at Wishbone on Lincoln on Sunday. We had a new member joining us, so we were able to do our "Favorite Pony, Favorite Episode?" introduction routine. While waiting to be seated someone asked to take a picture of our group, which gave us all a smile.  After an amazing breakfast most of our group made our way to Davids Tea where we shared some conversation before going our separate ways.  If you live in the Chicagoland area, or are in town, check us out at Facebook and G+.
