    Missed Villain Opportunity
    By Double C

Opaline is the main antagonist of the Mane 5 of Make Your Mark. However fans see her as the worse due to her not really doing any villainous except for bullying Misty. While she did cause division to Equestria but the writers just made her less than previews villains from past generations. Hopefully the writers will make her good with a proper backstory and what her full power is than making her a throwaway character. But there were some villains in Friendship is Magic that the writers could have shown how devious they are.

Chrysalis is arguably the best villain of Friendship is Magic with her design, power, and personality. But one of the things she could have done is spread gossip about her enemies having a crush or makes one up. Her morphing ability would have allowed her to spy on them of who they like or are close match. If we have learned from previews episodes, gossips can cause problems but were done unintentionally. While finding out Twilight has a crush on Flash Sentry is good especially Armor overreacting, but making up of Celestia and Thorax being in a secret relationship would cause big problems. If you all remember the “leaked” footages of Season 9 which were fakes, the marriage of Celestia and Thorax was among them. This shipped had much potential like being the first interspecies couple and Celestia having her special someone. But both ponies and changelings would find this unnatural especially if a child is a pony/changeling hybrid. So Chrysalis would have taken advantage of it by assuring the purity of the species.

Cozy Glow is perhaps an interesting villain for she is more of the classic villain. Most major pony villains usually have a backstory to back their motives but she doesn’t. I believe she is orphan and what she could have done is have Spike join her. I believed Cozy was an orphan and is the mirror image of what Spike’s life be like if Twilight and her family didn’t took him in. She could have told him about herself more and convince him to join. I can see Spike joining her since he feels he has not connection to the Tree of Harmony or what element he represents. While the team up would be short but would cause Spike leave Ponyville and perhaps Equestria to find his purpose in life and if he truly should stay by Twilight’s side or not even though he is pardon by the Princesses.

Which villain(s) do you think could have done that showed how evil they are?

A Possible Return in Make Your Mark!
    By: FlareGun45

Hey brahs! I just finished watching chapter 4 of Make Your Mark! I got the feeling this soapbox article won't be posted till way later, but just in case.... there are HUGE spoilers in this one! I'll try to keep the title very vague.

So first off, we see how important dragon magic has become in the series, and how powerful it actually is. It's been like that since chapter 2. Well, the very ending to chapter 4 with Opaline saying that the dragons waking up REALLY got me going!

Where am I getting at with this? Well, lemme give ya hint: in the episode where Pipp got sick, I saw a plush of a very familiar face, just hiding in plain sight! Yes, this plush appeared in the movie and being reused again here, but why reuse this particular model? Simple answer: it's foreshadowing the return of an old friend!

Dragons live a very long time, over a thousand years, as seen in the Campfire Tales episode in season 7 of FiM, showing an already adult Dragon Lord Torch during the Starswirl era! Not to mention, how important Princess Twilight has been in the background to warn the ponies about Opaline.

So either in chapter 5 or 6.... I feel we may not just have the return of the dragons.... Spike himself is coming back too! So many questions remain: where has he be? Why wasn't he in Equestria after the disappearance of magic? And what sorta person is he gonna be? After thousands of years, he's definitely not gonna be the same dragon we always knew! Imagine what might be going on in his head after being separated from Twilight and the ponies for so long!

Kinda wonder what kinda person he is now, and what part he's gonna play, whether its chapter 5 or chapter 6, I'm not sure. But he's coming.... and he could be a key to stopping Opaline, by offering the Mane 5/6 what he knows about his history with Equestria. If he's willing, of course. Got the feeling he's gonna be a pretty closed person full of regret by the time we see him.

This show got my attention now!

    Hitch’s Potential Crush
    By: Grace

Am I the only one who finds it strange that is the only guy in a friend group with four other girls? Ever since Sprout was kind of removed from Hitch and Sunny’s group (not that he was all that close to them anyway) Hitch has been left the only guy in their group. Could he only see them all as friends, or does he have a particular interest in one of them? I’ve seen Hitch shipped with Pipp, Zipp, Izzy, and Sunny, so I’ll be covering all of them.

Hitch x Sunny: Ah yes, his childhood best friend. Ever since we first saw them together in the movie, they seemed to be good friends. Even though they bud heads at times, Hitch genuinely cares about her and can be protective of Sunny if she were in danger.

Hitch x Izzy: Izzy has a bubbly and charismatic personality. Hitch seems to be overwhelmed by this, but she always has the ability to make somepony else laugh! I feel like this is something everyone looks for in a partner, unless you are boring.

Hitch x Pipp: Both having an interest in music, these two would probably have immediately hit it off if they’d met under different circumstances. Pipp is way more spontaneous than Hitch, but they would balance each other out perfectly.

Hitch x Zipp: Both being into solving crimes and bringing justice to the citizens of Equestria, that is already a great place to start. Hitch seems to admire Zipp for her quick thinking and ability to solve mysteries quickly.

    Queen Haven and Alphabittle’s Relationship
    By: Grace

Ok, I’m just gonna go right ahead and say it. From their first interaction, I knew these two would become an item in the show series. They bickered like an old married couple. Also, why else introduce Alphabittle as a character out of all the unicorns in Bridlewood? While Friendship is Magic never had the show have as big of a focus on romance, the comics certainly did. Numerous FiM comics such as Reflections, Siege of the Crystal Empire, Cosmos, etc. all had different levels of romance, but still it was one of the main focuses in each of these stories. In Tell Your Tale 51, “Mare Family Mare Problems'', the relationship between these two is basically confirmed. While Pipp and Zipp had to adjust to Alphabittle being around, Haven was more than welcoming to him. To be honest, seeing Queen Haven so happy with Alphabittle kind of makes me sad. I know that sounds weird, but let me explain. We don’t know what happened to Zipp and Pipp’s father, but Haven most likely had to raise the princesses on her own. Family matters a lot to her, and Alphabittle is perfect to fill that position. He kind of acts like a dad with his unique sense of humor, not to mention he WANTS to be included in their family activities! Especially with her daughters living away from her, I can imagine she’d want someone to talk to besides Cloudpuff all day. After years of probably zero dating and being a single parent, she might only now be able to fill a hole in her heart that has been empty for so long. I want only the best for all of the characters in the newest generation, and I hope to see more of their relationship. Who knows, maybe he’ll be the new unicorn king, taking the place of Shining Armor.

Sticking to rules makes a huge difference
    By: Mega PoNEO

SPOILER ALERT: Near the end of the anime film Promare, Kray almost kills Galo twice, but Lio's flames protect Galo both times. The second time Galo survives, we all understand right away why he does. It helps that Kray's backstory has even more failed attempts to get Galo killed.

Compare this to the end of the first Equestria Girls film. It is set in a world where Twilight's magic doesn't work, Sunset throws a fireball at her, and the Element of Magic shields Twilight. FiM establishes that the Elements of Harmony only work when all of them are together. My first thought was "Why does the Element of Magic suddenly work on its own?" If Twilight didn't have very obvious plot armor, I would have expected her and the humans replacing the ReManeing Five to burn to death and Equestria to move on without her.

Even worse is the MLP film A New Generation, where a divided Equestria loses all its magic and the stakes are much lower. FiM established that Equestria will literally fall apart without its magic, so my first thought was "Why is Equestria suddenly safe without its magic?" Even worse, why didn't Equestria's magic also disappear when the ponies also bickered during the story with the Windigoes? The answer is, obviously, plot armor, the only thing keeping Equestria alive.

    Take note, MLP G6.
