BRONYCON WELCOMES JAY FOSGITT AND OPENS ARTIST ALLEY APPLICATIONS

(BALTIMORE)— BronyCon is on the road to its July 2018 convention with two major announcements on the map - the opening of Artist Alley applications and our first Guest of Honor, the talented Jay Fosgitt.

Fosgitt has worked on the IDW My Little Pony “Friends Forever” series of comics since 2014 as both an illustrator and cover artist. He has contributed art to 15 MLP comics, including the My Little Pony: Guardians of Harmony Annual 2017 issue.

A member of ‘The National Cartoonists Society,’ Fosgitt began working in comics beginning in 2006. In his career, he has developed with a portfolio full of different genres and properties including Deadpool, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and more! Fosgitt is also the creator of two original comics - Bodie Troll and Dead Duck. Dead Duck, which ran from 2009 until 2013, is a graphic novel series about one of Death’s minions and his sidekick.  The other, Bodie Troll, tells the tale of Bodie, a troll who aspires to be big and scary, but is actually cute and cuddly.

Information regarding his placement in Blank Canvases’ Marketplace will be announced closer to July. For those interested in learning more about Mr. Fosgitt, head over to bronycon.org/guests.

Additionally, applications for BronyCon’s Artist Alley are now open for 2018. The Marketplace houses over 100 talented creators every year, and the artist alley gives more artists the opportunity to sell their works in Baltimore to more than 6000 attendees.

Fourty plus slots will be available with varying options in regards to table layouts. This year, BronyCon’s marketplace team has revamped the application system.  Everyone will be able to take their time submitting the best application possible. Once the application closes, the team will narrow the choices before sending out acceptance emails.  Those interested in applying can head over to bronycon.org/marketplace for more information.
