• EQLA's Lauren Faust and Brony Thank You Fund Teamup at EQLA Coming Soon

Lauren Faust's charity event at EQLA is coming near. The event is a 90 minute sit down with the creator of pony as she talks about all things animation, covering her career and how newbie animators can hopefully find a career in the industry some day.

Head on down below the break for the infos.

It's hard to think, with the MLP Movie about to come out and Season 8 around the corner, but once upon a time, Friendship is Magic was just an idea in Lauren Faust's brain. If you'd like to learn more about the creative process that led to ponies, as well as such shows as The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Wander Over Yonder, you've got a once-in-a-lifetime chance coming up on November 18th in Anaheim, CA, as Lauren sits down for 90 minutes to discuss her career and the state of Western Animation today, followed by 30 minutes of Q&A with the audience, which will include current students and faculty in the animation department at the California Institute of the Arts.

If you've ever wondered how animators come to their craft, or just how things work behind the scenes, this is your big chance to hear it straight from one of the most influential animators working today. We'll dive into her childhood and education, talk about her work on The Iron Giant, as well as discussing topics such as the relationship between creators and fans. This will be a very intimate event, as only 150 tickets are being offered.

Tickets for the event are $60, and all proceeds benefit the Derpy Hooves Animation Scholarship at CalArts. If you are planning to attend Equestria LA, you can score a $5 discount by signing up at the EQLA site when you register for your membership, otherwise you can attend without a membership. As a bonus, EQLA has generously donated limited edition prints of Lauren's OC by Pixel Prism for attendees of the event, while they last.

Seating is limited, so sign up soon!
