Animation, music, art, silly videos, fanfiction, and a plethora of other big pony projects are what make this fandom awesome. The constant engine of fan content keeps us afloat between episodes and while these big hiatus periods are going on.
2016 brought with it the completion of some of the biggest projects yet, with things like The Moon Rises almost becoming a monthly thing. While celebrities were falling over left and right, pony was thriving!
