• Artist Spotlight: Amarcato / Tim015 / MrCbleck / Ballman64

Spotlight time once again my pony friends! We've got an interesting mix of artists today that we hope you'll love. If not, Shining will make sure you love them I'm sure. If you're looking for submission info it'll be at the bottom of the post!

    On to the artists!

    Amarcato

First up tonight is an artist that is on the lighter side of things when placed on the pony art spectrum. With a clever sense of humor in most of his works, whether it be comics or single pieces, there's a lot to smile about in his gallery. Speaking of comics, Amar specializes in comics and even runs a tumblr called Ask Technolestia so if you're a comic fan give him a follow!

    Tim015

Unfortunately in our fandom vector artists tend to be overlooked, but thanks to their work a number of sketches have been turned into beautiful show accurate art and have made available to us a large number of vector cutie marks that save artists tons of time. That doesn't mean all vectors artists just recreate images or just do cutie marks, a lot of them also do original work as well! Tim is a great example of an artist that not only got his start vectoring sketches but has also dabbled into making original pieces as well. Check out some of his work below!

    MrCbleck

Our next artist is also a vector artist, but provides a larger example of original work that he has done compared to Tim and he also does a fair bit of digital drawing outside of vectors as well! Specializing in silly and sometimes suggestive scenes, Bleck has a number of pictures and wall papers on offer. He does have some mature stuff in his gallery so just a heads up in case anyone here wants to avoid that.

    Ballman64

Last on our list today is a straight up digital artist whose use of dim lighting and sort of a blurry art style give their work a more serious sort of atmosphere. While a deviant for eight years, he has shown steady progress since making the shift over to ponies in recent years and while he may not post much you can see that improvement within each and every picture. Check him out and give some encouragement if you can!

As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.

What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:

    • No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
    • Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
    • Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
