Ok, #1 is just music, entertaining for a minute or two, but then it got old. #2 was slow and a bit boring at fist, but at around the 3:13 mark it picked up speed and got interesting (big fan of the actual song, btw). #3. wat. I don't even... I mean... Scatman???? RLY? That was the BEST screen name you could come up with?!?!?? I stopped it after 20 seconds of "Scatman's woooooorld!" It. Got. Old. Even ponies can't help that horror... good grief.
Sorry guys, I think the lateness of the night has awoken the argumentative, irritable side of my dragon nature, so I'm not very positive about anything right now. I'mma post this and call it quits. Plz love and tolerate me even though I'm, in all likelihood, being a pr*ck right now (I can't tell if I am, too tired). Enjoy your nighttime stuffs! Cya later.
I really think they did the best for what they had. I do not really think the song fits ponies at all. Scene choice was for the most part, really good, though. You were really trying to set the mood to the song, and it worked as best it could.
I'd be hard pressed to imagine a better pony + bohemian rhapsody video.
#1 Is just awesome on it's own, the ponies just double that
#2 Same as #1
#3 Never heard of this before, but it was pretty good. And, I hope that everypony understands that "scat" is a singing style and isn't referring to the other meaning it has come to posses.
#1 Hm, think I've heard this song. Sounds awfully familiar. It's a pretty decent song as well as the video here.
#2 Video was okay. Nothing spectacular in my opinion. But I give it some bonus points for a really great classic song.
#3 I was a little dubious at first when I saw the title of this one. lol But I remember this song now from quite a while back. It's actually a pretty dang good song as well. I had to go back and watch the actual video to it after watching this. lol
I love the scatman pmv... he would totaly be best brony if he was with us... god that pmv made me nostalge so hard a man who is actually able to make a pop hit, where the real meaning behind his songs are not in the chorus, but within the spoken word of his verses. a melodical genius and vocal pioneer, we miss you scatman
1. Slick overlays half the time, half the time I have no idea what's going on. But this is awesome anyway since it's one of my favorite epic songs.
2. This was inevitable. But it's pretty well done, all things considered.
3. Hee hee, I love this song, and have loved it for years. Now that it's ponified, my life is complete. Again. It's amazing how often my life gets completed when visiting this site.
Actually, in retrospect, Scatman would probably love the sheer amount of joy and communal friendliness generated by the FiM show and fanbase. He'd get a kick out of how something so simple could unite so many people. Especially so when the internet and anonymity tend to generate so much hateful or unreasonably argumentative content.
It's nice to be part of a community that a man with such good ideals would most certainly approve of. This video is a modern day epitaph. Good work indeed.
All of these videos are win. The Scatman one could have used some sprucing up, but my nostalgia and love for Scatman overcame any negativity towards the editing.
#1 Never seen a Muse PMV before, good to know someone used Knights of Cydonia here. Good work on that one.
#2 I've seen this and a dozen others with Queen in PMVs. But this one is good for vocal sync and feeling. A good PMV with a good song. RIP Freddie. :)
#3 I'll admit, I've never heard of this Scatman fellow and i was a little skeptical when i first saw the name. Bad thoughts came to mind (sorry everypony), but then i remembered the word "scat" has more than one meaning. Yay vocabulary skills. :P I was rather entertained by this PMV, and I learnd of a new musician that i might look into more. Another good PMV here.
#2 it's pretty cool, but at 1:10 Pinkie starts dancing and smiling and the song is talking about putting a gun to someone's head... Pinkie that's just not right

That's a good drawing of Trixie, but it was used for a PMV post exactly 12 hours before this one. o.O
ReplyDeleteBohemian Rhapsody, Knights of Cydonia, and Scatman John all in one PMV post? That's far too much awesome put together.
ReplyDeleteHere's another Scatman song mixed with ponies that's really awesome. Sweetie Belle is Scatman incarnated. :D
ReplyDeleteSing Now!
@Dublio yup
ReplyDelete@Arothyss
ReplyDelete"Scat" as in improvisational jazz vocals, not as in, well, the other meaning of the word.
Ho boy at #2.

#2 is such a win that whenever I hear that song I will think more of ponies than I already do.
ReplyDelete#1: Good job of editing the clips, but I'm lukewarm on the song.
ReplyDelete#2: Not a bad job of matching lyrics with scenes and/or lip movements. Now let's see someone do "Ponyhemian Polka".
#3: I was hoping for Scatman Crothers, but it's a pretty good song anyway.
Grr, and here I was wanting to go to bread.

#2 Had great synchronization and bring on the hate (or love and tolerate) but it's a bit of an overrated song.
ReplyDeleteSaw #1 literally an hour or two ago.
ReplyDelete#2 Wasn't this posted before? Still awesome though.
#3 was awesome! How did I miss Scatman John all these years?
ReplyDelete#1 Hm, think I've heard this song. Sounds awfully familiar. It's a pretty decent song as well as the video here.

ReplyDeleteOkay. Love and tolerance only goes so far. Someone insulting Scatman John can NEVER be tolerated.
I love the scatman pmv...
ReplyDeletehe would totaly be best brony if he was with us...
god that pmv made me nostalge so hard

Wow, thanks for posting my video! And thanks for all the nice comments!
ReplyDeleteJust wow the second one was just awesome.
ReplyDeleteLooking back, I probably could have done a better job with Knights of Equestria, but since it got posted, I think I'm gonna stick with it.
ReplyDelete#2 I've seen a better one.
ReplyDelete@Tylendal
ReplyDeleteI agree, post is bursting at the seams with awesome.
My brain can't handle the sheer amount of win in this post.
ReplyDeleteAll of these videos are win. The Scatman one could have used some sprucing up, but my nostalgia and love for Scatman overcame any negativity towards the editing.
ReplyDeleteVery awesome post.

All around this was great. Good to wake up to. :)
@Tylendal
ReplyDeleteCome at me bro. I'd be more than happy to let off some of this internal flame that's been roiling in my gut for a while...
#1 was really good
ReplyDelete#3 was also Exelent
#2 was just Mindblowingly awesome, now do every other Queen song and the universe will implode with awesome.
one of, if not the best PMV post in a while.
#2 it's pretty cool, but at 1:10 Pinkie starts dancing and smiling and the song is talking about putting a gun to someone's head...
ReplyDeletePinkie that's just not right
So much full of win...
