How do you feel about Sparky? Is he a good addition to the cast? Does he make Hitch's character better? The elephant in the room is how he compares to Spike as a character (he doesn't is the answer).
I think Sparky overall is a little lacking as a character. I like that they have a non-pony intelligence in the show, but I don't like that he is non-vocal and so chaotic (like an actual baby). It does compliment Hitch's character well enough to be fathering Sparky though I feel. It gives them a reason to make Hitch a regular character in the show (other than just being Sunny's friend). Overall, I just wish they had Sparky act a little older and be vocal, like Spike was in Season 1 of FiM.
Also, I really don't like that they constantly use him as an outlet for fart and burp jokes x_x
