No genre is safe from the pony! This time we are taking over the JRPG Market, with a full fledged pony game. From the looks of it, this one is going to be pretty massive. The ponies all have their own custom sprites, and several land marks have already been created and implemented.
Check out the video demonstration of it after the break!

ReplyDeletestraight haired rarity is best rarity
ReplyDeletehaha this is fantastic
ReplyDeleteThere are so many pony games in the works. I can't wait till some actually come out!
ReplyDelete^^^me too
ReplyDeleteok....wake me up when any one of these games is atlest a working demo
ReplyDeletewe need a handheld title for MLP, of the JRPG variety. <_<
ReplyDeleteMother of God...
ReplyDeleteZecora is breaking the fourth wall.
What's it coded with again? Perhaps I could lend a hoof if I know the programming language.
ReplyDeleteDat Zecora rhyme. Eagerly anticipating the release of some of these games, especially Fighting is magic.
ReplyDelete@Mike
ReplyDeleteRPG Maker VX, Ruby/RGSS2.
Hi. I'm one of the planners and developers of the game. Your feedback is very important, everypony. Thanks for the watches. Now, back to work. Cloudsdale must be finished this week!
Sincerally? it looks amazing.Of course it needs work, but it's still an incredible prove of what a good sub-culture like our can do. I really want to see how this will end!
ReplyDeletewow looks very good! tho i cat wait for Fighting is magic XD
ReplyDeletecan't*
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping that a Super Mario RPG mock-up will be made some time in the future. Instead of "Legend of the 7 stars" It'll be "Legend of the 6 elements". :D
ReplyDeleteAll my money; take it. As long as you put this in the iOS App Store. 'till then, no money.
ReplyDelete@WizardShy
GFY
Interpret that any way you want.
I legitimately, without hyperbole, think this is probably the greatest fanbase in the last few decades. It never ceases to amaze me. Grateful Dead is the only thing I can think of that comes close.
ReplyDeletePinkie is everywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know that you read Zecora's speech in her voice, right?
ReplyDeleteDamn, there's been so many pony games in the last few days.
ReplyDelete@Zaehlas I hate when that happens.
ReplyDeleteCaptain's Log, star date 131.6. You are now reading this in your favorite Star Trek captain's voice.
And, to copy some top comments on youtube videos,
Look down, now back to me, down again, now back to me! You are now reading this is my voice.
CHOCOLATE RAIN. YOU READ THIS IN MY VOICE AND LOST THE GAME CHOCOLATE RAIN.
This will not be available in the iOS App Store.
ReplyDeleteWe wish it could be. Really. But RGSS uses Windows-exclusive graphics libraries.
That is to say, the game will run in Windows, and only in Windows. As an Ubuntu user, I honestly wish there were another way, but short of reverse engineering all of our graphics functionality (which I imagine is possible, but a seriously daunting task), this game will not be coming to any other platforms.
Besides, it's not easy to get things in the app store. Even pretending we could get it working on iOS, we'd have to jump through all the hoops Apple has, which includes a maximum file size.
tl,dr: If you're using a mac, may I recommend VirtualBox? If you're using an iPad, there's literally nothing we can do.
nice reference to "getting lucky"
ReplyDeleteit seems the team is very fond of the BG ponies
@Darth Equus
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't know that one, but I could look into it next summer, If I have time.
This mlp game that this group is to make,
ReplyDeleteout of most fanworks it takes the cake.
I cheer, and clap, and make plenty of noise,
for when you read my comment, it is in Zecoras voice.
Pinkie Pie going ´Moskau´. Genius.
ReplyDeleteI'd gladly shell out a few hundred crowns for a real commercial game. But it would probably suck and probably have nothing to do with the animated series.
That's where you guys come in and make nice games that don't suck.
Who was that green pony?
ReplyDeleteWas that... was that Applesnack?
...
o_o
I keep throwing my money at the screen, but nothing is happening!!
ReplyDeleteSO PSYCHED for this game. :D
ReplyDeleteOne question.
ReplyDeleteWho the HELL let Pinkamena Diane Pie into the school!?! Check that scene again, I'm serious.
Hah, I like the pink Celestia decoy. XD Looking good so far and looks like it's really coming together. Though no Octavia, huh? Well, it's probably for the best. Better to not appear at all than be misrepresented. :P
ReplyDelete@uberPhoenix
ReplyDeleteI guess I can dust off the PC. JRPGs aren't really my thing, but I'm just looking for a pony game that I can, in essence, keep in my pocket.
(Yes, I have 'Twilight Sparkle: Teacher For a Day'.)
"Luke".
ReplyDeletewait, what?
Pinkie Pie is so random. ...And everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWith all these pony games coming out, I need to invest in a computer that actually knows what an exe file is. Games run on a fan-budget usually end up as .exe's.
This really looks awesome. You've put in a ton of work in this game and it really shows.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Guys you all rock, but one small thing... *whimpers* No Derpy? ;)
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, major internet cookies for you.
That tree in the screen shot, I drew that.
ReplyDeleteTrixie's agent is called Sethisto?
ReplyDeleteIs this a reference to something?
/strongbad
Whaaaat could it beeeeeeeeeeeee?
there is actually an engine similar to this one made from RPGmaker.com (if i read right)so there MAY be an iOS version.
ReplyDeleteand will they have humans in this game?
@Chong Tzu
ReplyDeleteTake a closer look at the green pony.
He's good with knives, guns, bare hooves. Been in the military, and taught to survive off the land.
And he's named after a variety of apple (he's a very distant cousing of Big Macintosh and Braeburn). Try and figure all those out, and see who are we paying homage to.
@dan yu
ReplyDeleteNo humans in the final game. The previews are done in such a way that it makes it look as if the game was a movie being filmed in a studio, through the cooperation of humans and ponies together. (Hence the Producer, Director, Casting Director, and others)
A huge thanks to UberPhoenix, ClutterTrot and everyone else involved in the development of this game. Thank you, guys. We wouldn't be where we are without you.
I wanna see how the combat system works cause otherwise these pieces of awesome work will have been for nothing...
ReplyDelete@Darth Equus
ReplyDeleteJust in case we can't figure it out, will there be some sort of hint in game?
@Wolfy1328It will be directly stated in game. Come on, you can figure it out. Hit up wikipedia.
ReplyDelete@sleepingcobroxYou will. Soon. It will be special. And awesome. Just you wait.
