Can we clear up how Griffon/Griffin/Gryphon is actually spelled, I'm really confused by it.
Anyways, #2 is really nice, it has pretty much every aspect of music that I enjoy in it, not to mention the singing failed to make my ears bleed and was, in fact, soothing! Really nice song, another great song JackleApp.
I've heard numbers one and three before. Awesome songs. Number two is uplifting, if anything. Great tune!! Love the violin part playing the intro/chorus remix of the mlp theme Number one IS the first carrot top song that i've heard of, Seth. Number three has an......interesting way of putting in the ponies voices. Catchy tune
I really liked Woodentoaster's new song, cool beat and lyrics, though I'm not sure how relevant Carrot Top is to the Cosmos, I guess that's why it's called, "Beyond Her Garden."
#3 was good as well, favorite part of it was towards the beginning of it, but the not terrible splicing in of segments of different songs made it sound unique; specifically, for me, were the points that used Hush Now Quiet Now.
I thought it was gryphon, glad that's cleared up. Also, type in, "gryphon," (W/O quotes or comma) and right click it to see what the spelling suggestions are that blogger has for it, sort of some long shot words from gryphon, but, whatever.
After reading "Heart of Gold, Feathers of Steel" and "Junior Speedsters Forever, I've always wanted Gilda to have a redemption episode. The 2nd music video just reaffirms that belief. I also hope Trixie reappears in Season 2 as well. :D
Beyond the Garden sounds awesome as well, loved it.
@Makkon Like the finale of season 1, huh? And just saying, it would be more epic if you could also be in it. Just saying, YOU are my favorite musical brony. (it was actually your music that inspired me to become a brony, so my thanks to you is eternal!)
A Waltz for Trixie is one of the less than five songs in this fandom that I actually consider to be, 'beautiful,' it really is well done and probably the best song to have cause your eyes to water. Just thought I'd let you know that, cause this does seem to be the post filled with some of the best creators of fan content IMO.
Oooh, Carrot Top song. I thought we already have one or two. Though I can't place them right now, so maybe this is a first. Pretty good, definitely. Lyrics were good, it was done pretty well. WoodenToaster never seems to disappoint. :)
JackleApp, yet another great musician. And another great set of lyrics in this song. I'm not a fan of Gilda's, but this song is rather sweet and beautifully done. Makes me feel kinda sorry for her. Great job, JackleApp.
Third song was pretty good too. Certainly fun to listen to. :)
#1: I'm not convinced the lyrics really fit Carrot Top, but then again, we really don't know much about her canon character. Good song and good lyrics.
#2: Very good music, and excellent lyrics. I love Gilda also, though I can't see her quite this sympathetically; still, I'd say this song does suit her after "Griffon the Brush Off".
#3: I was expecting something somber and contemplative, based on the title, but that was a fun little song. I liked the use of the voice samples.
#1 Super catchy, I really really loved it. It may be 6 in the morning but it had me dancing ;)
#2 I actually couldn't listen to the whole thing. It kept reminding me of another song.... Turns out it's way too similar to Dead Hearts by Stars (but not as good) for me to truly enjoy it.
#3 Really awesome actually, very well done in my opinion. "Hush now quiet now" by far my favorite part... Loved it :)
Gilda (Winter) had some stunning music, but I must admit I found the content of the lyrics to be annoying, even if the voice work was nice. Whatever character is supposed to be singing those lyrics sounds like a total jerk, and being mad about it feels at odd with the sweetness of the instrumental parts.
Its probably that arrogant, white knight, I'm-the-only-one who-can-understand-you pile of horseapples that drives me nuts so often in pop music. Though I guess for a Griffon who's as big of a jerk as Gilda it makes sense... no matter how much it ticks me off.

Griffon is what was used in the episode title for Gilda's episode, so it's Griffon in equestria :P
ReplyDeleteI use Gryphon elsewhere, though.
@Kaijyuu I was about to say that. And yes, I agree with you. Good job, brony
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loving #1

ReplyDeleteZomg Makkon. I listen to "A Waltz for Trixie" everytime I read a Trixie fic. That music is so touching that it makes me cry manly tears. :o
ReplyDeleteIf I could learn to sing like JackleApp or WoodenToaster, then I'd be set.
ReplyDeleteSo many musical idols in one post......my head is going to explode from the awesomeness
ReplyDeleteOh so much win at the same time...
ReplyDeleteGriffon Village is truly awesome. Just saying, its nice to have fan created music with people who can actually sing decently.
ReplyDeleteLoved it.

#3 first minute sounds a lot like Mass Effect 2.
ReplyDeleteThose were all very enjoyable, I really should listen to the music posts more often.

Any chance at getting an instrumental version?
These...are ALL awesome. I can't decide what my favorite thing of the day is. I was leaning towards #2, though.
