#2 is great, though apparently in the original script Rarity says somthing along the lines of "I've made you pretty/less intimidating" and Luna replies "You've made me pink."
Still, since I cannot remember where I got that info from, I'll settle for this interpretation
Did anyone else notice that she uses the royal CANTERLOT voice even though the castle they lived in at the time of her banishment was the one in the everfree forest.
@James Bolt It's been mentioned; slight continuity error, understandable given their production schedule. You could always work around it by saying that they actually moved to Canterlot before Luna's banishment, or by saying the castle itself was called Canterlot before it was abandoned.
At last, someone does Pretty Pink Luna Dress. I was expecting more of a rage response from her though, considering she took it out with her teeth instead of using her Magic Horn. But It will do. For now.
#1 Hah, nice. I'm not a huge Matrix fan, but anything with Luna using the TRADITIONAL ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE, gets my approval.
#2 Awww, I think Luna looks so adorable in that pink dress though. lol <3 I really love Twilight's expression in the last panel too. Reminds of me Peanuts. :P
#1 Is full of win by default. Anything which references The Matrix (THE FIRST ONE) is awesome, and if it's MLP, it's epic.
#2 Was mildly funny, could've been better if it was more coherent. I got lost halfway through the strip and had to go back several frames to figure out what exactly was going on. The drawings were awesome though! I tried drawing ponies today...
...those attempts are now tiny ashes. I was never meant to be an artist. :'(
#2, Now that's a good visual interpretation of the missing scene. I kind of imagined a really sped up version of "Art of the Dress" instrumental in the background as Rarity worked. Poor Twilight. She's so misunderstood.

Didn't get #1 till I went to the DA page.
ReplyDelete"I guess I'm just a sucker for all forms of pony."
ReplyDeleteI hadn't figured that out yet, Sethisto. :P
#2 is a really impressive interpretation of the deleted scene; nothing new, but nicely done.
ReplyDeleteLuna is so cute when she is sitting down, i just want ot hug her right now
ReplyDeleteAh, #2, that's a really good one, it does what it was trying to do very well; that is, recreating the missing Rarity bit of the episode.
ReplyDelete#1 Hehe Matrix reference, I liked it.
ReplyDelete#2 Saw this before it was up here but I still laugh at it. Wook at widdle Woona in her pink dress.
#2 is a great deleted scene.
ReplyDelete#1 is brilliant for me. Great idea, but it needs final scene in dojo
ReplyDelete#2 Excellent usage of oryginal deleted idea
#2 could have appeared in the show exactly as-is. Good interpretation of the writing and visual style.

ReplyDelete#2 Close enough. My day is now complete.
ReplyDeleteI lol'd at #1.
ReplyDelete#2 was amusing.

Would SOMEPONY pick up a better reference like "The King's Speech" when it comes to Luna's ROYAL VOICE!?

@Mattatatta The "made me pink" line comes from layout artist Nayuki's post on the Allspark forums.

Solar's style is good enough for me to not even care about his/her English!
ReplyDelete...
Well, care a bit less...
#1, OUR VOICE KNOWS KUNG FU.

Poor Twilight. She's so misunderstood.
1. OUR VOICE BREAKS YOUR LOGIC.
ReplyDelete2. This is how it really happened...
#2 looks exactly like what Lauren Faust explained when that scene was missing, hopefully we will see it on DVD!
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard at the Madmax's comic.
ReplyDeleteSolar Slash did a great job of interpreting the missing Rarity scene.
#2 Really wish that scene wouldn't of been cut. Would of had an episode with all the mane six and Luna then.
ReplyDelete#2 was awesome. Not so hot about #1 though.
ReplyDelete#1 Haha, oooh I get it, a Matrix reference. That first panel confused me for a second.
ReplyDelete#2 Well, now that's out of the way, I feel Nightmare Night is complete. Leave it to this community to constantly amaze.
@1 isn't actually a matrix mix but a Jak 2 mixed one. It's from the first scene when they finally meet up again
ReplyDeleteTwo was hilarious; freakin' hilarious.
ReplyDeleteOne was also a nice throwback. Seems like forever when those movies were released. I feel old.
Impressive, cute, and funny, a winning combo!
