This is a completely different take on the old "How Equestria was made" trope, including... humans! Yes humans, along with filly-in-a-box Celestia. It's still in progress, but quite a few pages are already out. Check them below.

ReplyDeleteI D'AWWWWWWWW'd so hard. >w<
ReplyDeleteCuteness overload. But I can take it! /ManlyBronie
ReplyDeleteI look forward to more!

ok i give up.
i understand now.
you are doing this on purpose.
research on magical force fields caused several damage to the language part of professor's brain. and to her daughter as well. will Celly fix it?
Aww, this comic is absolutely adorable. <3 Filly Celestia.
ReplyDeleteI d'awwwwwed hard. I'm so eager to see this continued! :D
ReplyDelete@soph93
ReplyDeleteGlad someone else pointed it all out, these kinds of simple grammar errors drive me crazy, not to mention such a ridiculous number of people can't seem to differentiate one from the other.
If you're going to put so much work into something, at least make sure the wording is right. -_-
I want to cuddle little Celly!
ReplyDeleteHyper cute!
*part of brain blows up*
ReplyDeleteThere goes my Cute-A-Meter again.
God damn it. Graahhhhh so God damn adorable, kill it with kindness!
ReplyDeleteStory seems great so far and I like the drawing style. But if this artist is going to put so much time into it anyway, would it really be that hard to ask someone to proofread it before posting it? The grammatical errors won't stop me from reading it, but I would enjoy it a lot more if those errors wouldn't pop up every second panel.

I just don't get some people. Author put SO MUCH work in this comic (Tell me 'Tia isn't cute, tell me it's easy to do such thing, I DARE YOU) and you guys focus on stupid grammar bugs? Of course if you make errors in your native language something's wrong (I for instance speak mainly polish, but I care about my spelling), but seriously. When someone's creating comic that can make grown man cry (dammit my loose tongue) you have to concentrate on such details?
Obligatory HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!
ReplyDeleteI smell grammar Hitlers.
ReplyDeleteThis is just adorable !
ReplyDeleteI hate to be a metaphor stalin, but isn't it supposed to be 'grammar nazis'?
ReplyDeleteSoooooooooooo "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", but with Ponies? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI don't like bad grammar either, but this comic is perfecty readable.
ReplyDeleteIts perfectly fine to bring up the errors and ask he fix them, but why are you guys seriously bitching this much about them and ignoring the rest of the comic?
HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
ReplyDeleteBetween the show itself and the fandom, I'll surely die from a heart attack eventually.
This is the best thing ever.
ReplyDeleteExcept maybe for the show that inspired it.
@PoldekPL
ReplyDeletedon't get it wrong.
the comic is adorable, Celestia drawings ( is this actually a word?)are superb.
i don't know if the author know about the grammar mistakes and he was just planning to correct them later.
i was *trying* to make a fast list of all mistakes to help him correct them (in the case he was not aware of them)... but i've found too many halfway and i just went humoristic.
good drawings will never get bad with bad spelling.
but such a beatiful comic would go very good with also good spelling.
Love and tolarance.
sorry for being G-nazi σ_σ
@DJ Kat
ReplyDeleteIn my case, I haven't even notice any errors. And (except for pages 0 & 1) it's still sketch. If it was final version, grammar bugs would be shame, but it's too early to point out and condemn. The less bugs the better, but it shouldn't be main topic.
...damn this cutness overload made me soft on the inside...
@soph93
ReplyDeleteSorry if I sounded offensive. Maybe I quite overreacted. I just appreciate good piece of work, and gammars are in this case not so important for me.
Yeah, this was infinitely adorable. The spelling, though... It was kinda distracting. I mean, I kinda started ignoring what most of the text said after a while, and it was still cute as hell, so in that sense no worries, but legibility is important for a comic, too. If it has words, anyway.
ReplyDeleteMore please! This is adorable and now I'm really curious as to what's gonna happen! :-D
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! Grammer errors and all!
ReplyDeleteI love this.
ReplyDelete@MiColt
ReplyDeleteI agree; the grammar errors were a bit distracting. If I have to actively block my brain from expecting proper spelling and grammar, something's wrong, and it dampens the experience. Still, the comic series is amazing, and I love it.
Also, you may want to consider that your comment contains one grammar error. That's how it usually goes with people who criticize grammar. Heck, there's probably one in my comment somewhere. :)
What kind of stick-in-the-mud would fire someone for figuring out how to genetically engineer an alicorn? I wonder how big the market would be for pets that can understand and talk to humans in our own language.
ReplyDeleteI forsee bad stuff is going to happen in this... But also hope that whatever happens it will be possable to mix it in with the Ego filly comics! That's the only way this'll become true headcannon is if the Ego ones can be added on after the events that'll go on here.
ReplyDeleteMy brain fried right after I reached Ludicrous DDDAAAAAAAAAaaaaaawwwwHHhhhhnnnggg... alert.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes"... is this comic going in that direction?
ReplyDelete@Mike Well, seeing as there aren't any humans in the show, I'd imagine that's exactly where it's going.
ReplyDeleteIf I do not get my very own Filly-Celestia right fucking now,I am going to start killing people.
ReplyDeleteFor srs.
>Pri-ces ces-ia
ReplyDeleteOH LUNA IT'S TOO CUTE!!! HNNNNGGGGG
my heart exploded! twice!
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I thought of when I saw smiling filly celestia:
ReplyDeletehttp://i54.tinypic.com/11juptx.jpg
@mistaque1
ReplyDeleteOh, that's perfect!
So far, the comic's more "cute" than "story", which I find slightly annoying, but I like it and will try to follow it. The grammar and spelling mistakes are annoying, yes; I think I'll see if the artist wants a proofreader, or if he has one lined up. I'm just wondering how Derpy's going to wind up in this...
I love this comic.
ReplyDeleteAww, Celestia was so adorable when she was a filly. Makes you wonder just how exactly she was made. I'm picturing something like the opening to Powerpuff Girls.
ReplyDelete*Critical Cuteness*
ReplyDeleteThis is just ADORABLE.
Now this is what I call adorable..
ReplyDelete"Allot of doing." How does one distribute doing?
ReplyDelete"Your fired." His fired WHAT? What does he posses that is now fired?
"Well were here." I can't make fun of this fun without resorting to poor grammar, so I'll just correct it: "we're here."
"Surender" isn't a word. "Surrender" is.
SO MANY MISUSES OF "YOUR" AND NOT REMEMBERING "YOU'RE" IT HURTS!!!
"Hollidays?" It's got one "L" too many.
"Prommis" isn't a word.
Cheerilee would give detention for such sloppy grammar.
Horrible premise negated by ADORABLE FILLY CELESTIA!!! <3
ReplyDeleteHumans? In MY Equestria?! It's more likely than you think, apparently. :P
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! These comics had me absolutely SQUEEING from the CUTENESS! Filly Celestia is SO DARN CUTE! I WANT ONE! :D
The last comic though when he's discussing tests again... uh-oh. This probably isn't going to end well. I'm eagerly awaiting for more from this comic series.
Well, that was nice. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go see someone about the solid masses of sugar that have replaced all the blood in my heart.
ReplyDelete@Pyrobug
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie: I call that a Tuesday!
>I'm just wondering how Derpy's going to wind up in this...
In a flying DeLorean, I bet.
Rise of the Planet of the Ponies...
ReplyDeleteNah, I'm betting Celestia gets fed up w/ our bullshit and goes Caesar-from-Rise-of-the-Planet-of-the-Apes on our biped asses. Chaos in the streets of every city as horse turns on man. Desperate world leaders in a underground bunker pray for forgiveness from their human God as they order a desperate nuclear strike.....that is completely futile since Celestia has now taken control of The Sun and uses it to "heat treat" the planet to rid it of humans, the same way you would heat treat a house to kill off bedbugs.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's how Tia got her Cutie Mark! ^_^
The good: The art is cute, the story has potential, and for some reason I like the dad's mustache. Seriously, Celestia is just so adorable she threatens the very lives of whoever look upon her.
ReplyDeleteThe bad: SPELL CHECK. GRAMMAR CHECK. THEY EXIST. USE THEM. I really don't like to be super-critical on this, but it's really distracting.
I'll still keep an eye on this, just to see where it goes.
gah, so adorable can't wait for the next part.
ReplyDeleteSO ADORABLE.....D'AAAAWWWWWWWWWWW
ReplyDelete*faints*
Its super effective!
Pinkie made it. Pinkie explained to us how equestria was made because of her cutie mark.
ReplyDeleteThat was so cute, if there are more to come, then there should be no sad parts lol
ReplyDeleteI can't stand a tragedy lol
I admit, You've made something very cute with a good strong angle and point. daaawww
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the final versions of the comic are completed since I can tell by looking the whole thing is a WIP but still tells the story.
I wonder, will is keep going on Earth, or will they send celestia off, where she pushes another planet to make life. and she nurtures it
@Kein
ReplyDeleteSo far I don't see anything that would strictly contradict Egophiliac's comics. I'd say we have to wait until the end of this little booklet before we decide the two don't fit together. :)
*popping noise in my chest*
ReplyDeleteMe: "dude could you look up heart and bursting?"
Other guy: "Why?"
Me: *blood coming out of mouth* "Time is a factor"
Ridiculously cute. I was reading this on a train, and had to keep looking out of the window so the passengers around me wouldn't wonder why I kept grinning inanely at my phone.
ReplyDeleteI second/third the commenters calling for no sad section. It's awesome this way, it doesn't need a tragic part.
Well, as a research geneticist, I can say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that this comic presents something that cannot happen!
ReplyDeleteBesides, the magic genes are concentrated on chromosome 14... *whistes innocently... totally not engineering magic ponies for the military...* c_c
@mistaque1
ReplyDeleteYou must be confused. I call that 'Everyday'.
@Xel Unknown
ReplyDelete*it turns out like "Akira"*
I... am... Celestia...
;D
No post should contain this much adorable
ReplyDeleteWait... There were grammar errors?
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice it over the pure dawwww.
HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!
ReplyDeleteSo damn cute.
wow i like this. cant wait till the next page
ReplyDeleteSo, Planet of the Ponies. This will end well.
ReplyDeleteFor me there has always been one thing that conflicts with Equestria taking place on Earth. Luna and Celestia control the sun and moon's rotations.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful what-if story. I can't wait for more!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. So very very cute. I want a Celestia too.
ReplyDeleteAs a scientist I will now make it my goal to create filly Celestia, or actually maybe Woona as she's 20% cuter, however according to Einsteins theory of ponitivity that level of cuteness is theoretically impossible to reach and can only be approached but maybe......
ReplyDeleteI watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I know how this all ends...
ReplyDeleteThe Professor standing in a forest, surrounded by angry equines. He faces Princess Celestia, and begs her to come home.
And she says, "Celestia is home."
My heart exploded twice...
ReplyDelete@Specter Von Baren
ReplyDeleteRead Celestia's Notebook. It has a very interesting take on why Celestia and Luna are different from every other pony and command the sun and moon, and why the earth's rotation is screwed, along with all the other issues, such as seasons, growth, and weather all needing extraordinary manual operation to make function. Luna and Celestia alternate giving the earth a "spin up" at dusk and dawn. They also maintain the sun's gravity and output and the moon's orbit of the earth and tides, respectively. Being a "sciency" story, and not a god story, it also fits well with this one, conceptually, though it's NOT a humans in Equestria or Equestrians on human earth story. Obviously, there will be major differences, as such, but I do LOVE the concepts from "Celestia's Notebook" and how they pertain to all the minutia of world operation and technology as defined by the actual series. I certainly could imagine a magical/science mishap that messes with the earth in this story.
Celestia's Notebook and Paradise are my 2 favorite origin stories. This could prove to be pretty awesome too, if handled right.
OK, to anyone reading this comic and thinking of Planet of the Apes: you do know this will be explained without violence, right?
ReplyDelete@soph93
ReplyDeleteHe's dyslexic. Also british.
On good authority I can say that the comics will be proof-read from now on, as I'll be doing it.I kept trying to point out spelling errors to him, he'd say "Oh I'll fix before I post", but he doesn't listen, just posts reguardless...
ReplyDeleteBut, from now on, all pages will be proof-read and corrected / re-worded before posting!
