An idea. While alcoholic beverages are ancient. Distilling for "hard" alcohols was a renaissance invention IIRC. So you could introduce Luna to Vodka, Whiskey etc.

I love these, though I find your portayal of Luna a bit weird (i.e. at odds with my personal views). :) Celestia strikes me as more of the mathy, workaholic type; I'd think Luna would be more flighty and emotion-driven. I figure that as part of the reason for her fall.

Also, Luna's secret identity being a glasses wearing librarian makes her have more cuteness power then even Fluttershy.

I am on chapter 3 now and I hope you keep these coming. I usually don't read fanfics, but find your novels to be light-hearted, and funny enough to enjoy them. The microwave was funny enough to work in the setting. The mention of the space-program part maybe seemed a little too far from the MLP:FIM setting and caused some unnecessary friction in the story for me. Still it is a great story, and I will continue to read it.

On the other hand, I do want to branch out a little in the characters I write. I already have two Doctor Whoof stories that have yet to be posted to ED, and I've got a pretty lengthly Luna fic. I might try my hand at a Trixie fic next.

ReplyDeleteIt made Luna stressed and freaked out, to the point Hoyden would arrange for a blind date with Big Mac which would hopefully lead to Luna loosening up a little and not feeling so depressed about modern life.
She didn't count on all the specifics, she just established the proper emotional circumstances based on the existing relationships. Not a Xanatos Gambit, more like a Batman Gambit. But she pulled it off all the same.
This is the funniest thing I have ever read. It's like a sit-com only actually funny. You good sir are a master of comedic story telling. I hope that there are more tales to come.

The amount of research, the incorporation of so many good jokes, and incorporated well I will say.

These stories have filled me so much smiles and laughter! This...reminds me so much of a Celestia Tier episode! It keeps completely true to the characters. Every new chapter posted just makes me love it all that much more.
