• Hasbro and Amazon's FREE Family Holiday Pop-Up Event in NYC Begins!

Toyland, Toyland. Little girl and boy land. While you dwell within it, You are ever happy there.

    Good evening Equestria Daily!

Our Friend MyLittleTies did us a big favor today and checked out Hasbro's Free Family Pop-Up event in New York City today!

    What was it like?

Well it was small--this is Hasbro's first year doing something like this--but from the pictures I saw and from what MyLittleTies told me, there is a lot to like. And definitely room to grow.

You'll be able to check out the best photos from the event after the break!

Wait a minute. They're showing off their newest toys while kids wait in line for Santa? With a description of the toy, the price, and a QR code linking them directly to the Amazon page where the parents can purchase the toy with their kids being none the wiser?

    ...

    This is genius.
A mini Plinko game to determine what sort of prize can be won during the event. Looks like the possible prizes are a coloring poster, a free toy, and...

...something to do with Paramount+. I would not be surprised at all if it's a free month subscription to the service.

Which would be perfect for watching all things Star Trek. Especially Star Trek Lower Decks.

    This is a pony blog.

I said what I said and I standby it. And if Paramount+ ends up debuting the next My Little Pony series alongside Transformers: Earthspark I will happily promote My Little Pony on the service as well.
And here is the big man himself! Santa Claus!

I know this is an advertising event for Hasbro, but it's really nice that Hasbro has made meeting and getting photos taken with Santa free at this event. Especially when more and more Santa meet and greet events are--

--what do you mean Macy's is charging $39.99 to sit on Santa's lap for photos?!
Speaking of photos, kids can also get their pictures taken with some of Hasbro's iconic characters! Up first for the day was the heroes from PJ Masks!

My Little Pony was also set for a character meet and greet. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Hasbro ended up rotating the characters throughout the day.
And of course there will be cookies for all!

Dang it, now I wish I could have made it into the city for this weekend.
But if you happen to live in NYC, and your kid wants to get their photo with Santa, consider stopping by the High Line for Hasbro's and Amazon's Holiday Pop-Up Event. It may be small this year, but is looks like a very promising start. Here's to hopefully more of these pop-up events occurring in the future!
