That's because people enjoy making anything to do with pastel-colored equines with big anime eyes. Me included. I like little Derpy there with her muffins. :)

Seriously, I wish I wasn't broke; I'd absolutely love to have any of these plushies, Twilight in particular.
I just started painting my first custom. I have a Lily Blossom that I'm converting to Derpy Hooves. Her body is painted grey (The purple wasn't good enough for me to call close enough). I've had her under a filter fan to let the paint dry. I used enamel paint, which I hope is suitable. I'll do the eyes and bubble cutie mark shortly.
I've considered making a second one to see if it would sell on ebay. I'll be keeping my first one though. I can only ever bring myself to sell a creation of my own if I make multiples, and keep one. It seems there is still plenty interest for such customs.
I may just go back to Walmart and end their stock of Lily Blossoms if I get good at this! :)
