Zap2It Also Lists August 6th As Hiatus End

Earlier today two episodes were posted to Google along with the supposed end of the hiatus as August 6th. Considering the two episodes posted had the same start date it was a tad suspicious, but now it appears that Zap2It is jumping on board by saying that episode 14 will be airing on, you guessed it, August 6th.

With two sources now citing the August 6th start date it's looking more and more likely that new pony episodes will start airing on that date.

Since a few people are wondering why the episode numbers are weird and there is a gap where ep 12 is supposed to be: The original episode 9 (Fault In Our Cutie Marks) was moved to later in the season. This caused the episode numbers after that to shift down by one (Saddle Row Review moved from 10 to 9, Applejacks Day Off moved from 11 to 10 etc.).

Zap2It just forgot to change the numbers for episode 12 and onward.

The original order was:

With Glimglam joining Trixie for the EPITOME OF PONY for me, my needs have been satisfied for at least a season or two. I'm sure a bunch of you are still waiting for that big moment when two of your favorites team up for a full episode though.

PonyKart Inspired Pony Kart Racer In Development

Years ago at the peak of the game development side of the fandom, a project called PonyKart was being worked on by an army of enthusiastic creators. Unfortunately, it never saw completion. The team shut down on the 19th of November in 2013.

The new one revolves around Derpy, titled "Derpy's Gr8 Krat Rase". It's still pretty early on, and the trailer loves pointing out all the derpyness of it's current, seemingly broken build. There is potential here though! Go find that below!

New Summaries Appear for Episodes 14 and 15 - Ponies Return on August 6?

Detective Pinkie is getting a lot of work this season as what appears to be a happy little discovery has popped up on Google: two new summaries for episodes from season 6 along with a possible return date from the hiatus with the second half starting August 6th. This matches up pretty well with a recent Shout Factory DVD also releasing in August with a currently unreleased episode.

I was digging around my inbox today sorting out tumblrs for the Tumblr Spotlight posts and came across this little gem among the various emails again. Created by viwrastupr it currently has roughly 31 pages (though some pages are just artwork) and contains a beautiful art style! It centers on a tale told by Luna to Twilight of a Twilight from another universe, in this case a samurai version of Twilight.

It's really grown since I featured it way back in January 2015, so check out the latest page above! The art has only gotten better as times gone on.

Today we have some unfortunate news on the BronyCon front as they have contacted us with a presser to notify convention goers that Jayson Thiessen will no long be able to attend the convention due to limited availability from work obligations.

Hasbro Brings a Big Old Storm of CHAOS With their MLP SDCC 2016 Exclusive!

Have I mentioned that Fluttercord is the best pairing in the show? We'll even if I have I'm going to reiterate it now. Discord and Fluttershy make the absolute cutest couple.

And apparently Hasbro agrees with this sentiment, since this is the second piece of merchandise that has been dedicated to this specific pairing.

Revealed by Forbes, the Hasbro SDCC MLP: FiM Exclusive Toy features Focuses on Discord and his Gal Pal Cluttershy. I mean Fluttershy. Whatever.

Oh and apparently the exclusive is taking it's cues from the Guardians of Harmony Toy Line, if the molded Fluttershy Figure and Discord's Model is any indication. Though apparently he has his eyes opened in this one.

Panini Comics Germany Releases FIENDShip is Magic German Translated Trade Paperback!

As the title of the post says, Panini Comics Germany has released the German Translation of FIENDship is Magic! And unlike the American (or Italian) release, they opted to go with a cover featuring Queen Chrysalis portraying Lucrezia Borgia. Apparently someone in the Stuttgart office is up on their art history!

I will not lie, I actually want to hear this one voiced by the German Dub actors. Just listen to German Chrysalis, listen to German Sirens, listen to German King Sombra, and listen to German Nightmare Moon. Say what you will about the show being dubbed into other languages (and the quality of the dubs for better or for worse) but I have to say that all of these voice actors/actresses are excellent in this dub.

Edizoni BD Releases New Italian Translation Trades for IDW's MLP Comics!

It's new comic day everyone! So what better way is there to celebrate than by tossing out comic related news?

Yes, I suppose buying and reading the newest issue of Friends Forever might be a better way to celebrate. But we have news about international releases in Europe, and I don't get to post those anywhere near enough.

Edizoni BD has released translation editions of Friendship is Magic Volume 4 (My Little Pirate: Friendship Ahoy!) and their third volume of Pony Tales (which is Volume 2 everywhere else in the world).

As is their standard operating procedure, each trade release comes with a variant. Unlike previous releases however, the variants feature the art of MLP Cover Artist Sara Richard! I guess Sara's art is really striking a chord overseas.

If you're learning Italian, already know Italian, happen to be a native of Italy, or just simply want to collect something neat in the MLP Comic World, you can order these comics directly from Amazon.it in the links below!

Official Pony Roleplaying Game Gets an Update from Riverhorse

If you weren't around back in march, a company called River Horse has obtained the license to create an official Friendship is Magic pen and paper RPG. They had a short demonstration in an interview. You can watch that one over here.

Undertale Style Pony Game in Progress

The world of pony gaming has slowed down a bit over the past year, but we finally have some projects popping up again as we move into the second half of 2016. Undertale made waves with it's unique style and simple graphics, making many wonder why we weren't getting more pony love on that front. The 10 Most Rewatchable My Little Pony Episodes - My Picks!

When I first set out on making this list, the original idea was to simply dig up 10 interesting episodes that people seem to agree are the most rewatchable, and analyze each. After many a battle between close friends and various pony Skype rooms, I quickly discovered that it just doesn't work like that. No one could agree on anything, and when we did, another faction would disagree. Tiny episode based cliques started to form,  and a war of words, best ponies, best writers, best themes, and a slew of other things caused the entire concept to collapse.

It really all boils down to one question: What exactly makes an episode rewatchable? The common theme I ran into was simply personal experience. Some episodes hit others harder, based on what was going on in the fandom at the time, how they watched it, or even relatability to the actual story. A few episodes won just based on how well they worked, but that wasn't usually the case.

And so, out of the fires of a failed post comes a different style. You are still going to get your top 10, but It's going to be a more personal list than originally planned. Head on down below for the episodes I've rewatched the most, and why I do it!

Pony Dating Sim Team Returns - Looking for Artists

After two years of silence, the team behind the pony dating sim from Gentlecolts Collaborations has come out of the woodwork with hopes of reviving their frozen project. Unfortunately their entire artist team left way back when, and they weren't able to replace them to continue development.

They are currently looking for new blood to help draw up some ponies and fulfill the need of cartoon equine based dating for the more obsessed among us.

Equestria Girls: The Legend of Everfree Book Now on UK Amazon For Pre-order

The book version of the Legends of Everfree movie releasing later this year is now pre-orderable over on Amazon in book form. This one's synopsis is literally word for word the movie, so it may be a simple retelling as opposed to a side story like the first EG movie book.

"Starlight Glimmer and the Secret Suite" and "Ponyville Confidential" get Covers

Starlight Glimmer's big chapter book solo act is coming out in August, and now has a cover. We don't have a synopsis for it, but the previous title of "space-time suite" seems to hint that it could have something to do with SHATTERING THE BOUNDS OF REALITY. Fingers crossed! Andrea Libman to Attend SDCC 2016!

On Twitter today, Andrea Libman announced that she will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego this year.

I am well aware that the acronym is SDCC, however it is fun to type out the full name. And with Andrea's presence at the convention, this is sure to increase how much fun will be had by all during the con!

With a big old movie coming out next year, this isn't a surprise. Whether or not her appareance at SDCC is in relation to said movie is currently unknown, as is her scheduled appearances at the convention.

We'll report on more information on further MLP Staff in attendance at the con as it comes in. Including all panel and signing schedules.
