Everyone can do with a little friendship and our ponies certainly aren't the exception. Heck, if it wasn't for friendship Equestria probably would have been destroyed at least a few times over by now. Also according to your drawings tonight a lot of fences need mending in Equestria, good on you all for having our ponies help out!

For today we managed to bring in 93 ponies which brings us up to 3456 ponies in total! The count keeps rising, I wonder just how high we will get?

With the NATG starting to wind down I figured today we'd try to put your skills to the test. I've seen so many of you experimenting with different techniques and trying your best to improve that I thought it might be nice to see how far you've come by Redrawing an older picture using what you’ve learned / Drawing a pony learning from a mistake.

Whirlwind presents us a whole album of Equestrian bliss, with the tracks effectively representing a journey to Equestria! The opener track Welcome to Equestria is reflecting our arrival to that new world, Delicious Dessert our visit at Sugarcube Corner, Diamond Mine our exploration of the nearby gem mine (remember that in Legends of Equestria!), and the closing track featuring Wubcake is so emotional with the Ambient synths and the deep bass! For many of us myself included, Equestria and the community are a form of escape from the harsh reality, a positive place where we can partake in shared passion and love with other like-minded fans! As some of you have noticed, Spike isn't played by Cathy Weseluck in Pony Life.

The actress took to twitter today and explained why she didn't reprise the role.  In short, it was her decision to stop voicing the little guy when Friendship is Magic ended production.

Got to say I think this has to be one of my favorite prompts for this whole event! You all got so creative with the two different prompts that I didn't know exactly what to expect. From adventures to wild ponies, we seem to have it all tonight.

In our art roundup tonight we managed to pull in 95 ponies which brings us up to 3363 ponies altogether! Another great showing my friends, keep it up!

I only really noticed now as we enter the last few days of the NATG that for a show about friendship we haven't really had a prompt that is focused on it! In the spirit of the show for tonight I'd like you to Draw a pony giving the gift of friendship / Draw a pony mending fences.

Diamond Tiara Music: Direct Current - House Canary [Alternative Electronic/Indie Pop]

Direct Current made a much welcomed song about Diamond Tiara's character depth and how she's been caged as a bird by her parents (not without reminding of Yukiko in Persona 4), and such character-driven works are always so appreciated. The lyrics speaking about her struggle, the vocals full of compassion toward her, and the emotional instrumental are all part of this powerful song about Diamond. The melodic part starting at 1:31 in particular is my favorite moment!

Kotobukiya Reveals Limited-Edition EQG-Colored Pinkie Pie

Kotobukiya continues to share the pony love with a new, limited-edition Pinkie Pie bishoujo statue. This particular variant has her rocking her Equestria Girls skin tone, as well as a special sparkly mane and hairstyle, and more highly detailed box.

With the first wave of statues becoming harder to get a hold of, these ones will likely be extremely sought-after.

New Counter Response to The Atlantic's Brony Nazi Article from Quillete, Focuses on NSFW Instead

We were originally going to just move on from this one, but since so many people are bringing it up, it's probably disingenuous to ignore it. After The Atlantic's article a few days ago, another news organization has decided to pick up the story and bring on an alternate perspective. They dig into the numbers in specific over on derpi, citing that while there are racist images, they are a tiny fraction of the overall content.Instead, Quillete focuses on how much explicit material there is, and how much it greatly outnumbers the political drawings.

Consider it an alternate outlook on the topic.

As a general warning, they do get pretty NSFW in their language. If "clop" bothers you, steer clear.

Pony Con Feelings Music: DoTheDaringDew - We Were Here [Soft Rock]

Dewie just released a masterpiece of music and pony emotions, acting as a wonderful and heartfelt tribute to pony con experiences, and calling for us to reflect on them too. See my wall of text comment on the song to get an idea of how much I love it, although words are not enough to express how much I appreciate heartfelt and meaningful works like these. Not only the message and heart behind it, but the music in itself is quite amazing, and those have got to be the best vocals from Dewie that I've ever heard. And when you think that they have so much relatable feelings behind them, it just blows you away... and makes for a certain emotion, of brony spirit and love toward fellow bronies, that is just... beyond words. But you may know what I'm talking about! Come here everypony... *group hug with all of you* I love you all so much!!

Oh, I'm sure nothing could go with this venture. Nothing at all, especially with these two in charge. Though it might be a good idea to make backup plans if the park were to close for whatever reason, don't you think?

Equestria Girls: Too Hot To Handle Follow Up

With summer here and the heat bringing on more times I should not be eating more ice cream, we have a summer short about trying to beat the heat. Our contender against the scorching sun is the pink powerhouse herself Pinkie Pie. And from this short, I think laughter might be the most powerful element of friendship just by how it can combine with other elements like generosity, kindness and loyalty. Pinkie is true friend and people person and it makes this short kind of heart warming even in 90-degree weather. If I were to give a moral to this short, it would be that making people smile can bring a smile to your face even at some expense. Either that or carry extra money for more sno cones.
(Editor’s Note: I am a huge Big Mac fan and I can’t help but think this back for the title card might be him and want nothing more than to rub every drop of sunscreen on him and that makes this even weirder. Please don’t judge me. Big Mac is husbando.)

Apple Bloom Music: PumpkinZ - Through an Alternate Dimension of Chaos [Industrial/Hardcore]

Released on the Equestrian Terror Corps label, PumpkinZ's melodic and vocal chops-powered beauty takes us through a trip between dimensions, with Apple Bloom's emotional voice resonating in our hearts. The lead melodies are quite lovely and this is such an impressive experience of almost 7 minutes, featuring a beautiful and reflective Ambient intro too. I didn't know about PumpkinZ before, so I'm glad that the label made me find out about their stuff! Go sub to them and show your appreciation! Lots of other emotional melodic pony songs on their channel, such as Remoteness, Sleet, and Coco!

While I love all the entries we get for the NATG I always do find the ones where the artists try their best to tie all the prompts together into some sort of narrative pretty fascinating. In a way it makes me feel like I'm making the choices in a Choose Your Own Adventure type story.

Evening everyone! Here we are on Day 25 as we start to make the sprint towards the finish. This coming week we should be able to finish everything up and finish strong! Today we brought in 74 ponies which now brings us to 3179 ponies in total. Keep it up everyone!

For today's prompt I was thinking of not only Equestria but the time of year. With a holiday coming up in the US and summer being the prime time for travel (at least when there isn't a pandemic going on) I figured maybe our ponies should check out some other places outside of Equestria. Yeah, I think I can agree that we could have always needed more Gabby in the show, but then again we could have used a lot of cool things in the show while it lasted. On Racism in the Fandom, and Equestria Daily Going Forward

As most of you have probably heard by now, The Atlantic did a piece on the fandom a few days ago about a underground movement of Nazis and general alt-right pony fans who lurk in the shadows of our little online pony world here. This has sparked a lot of justified outrage, with many demanding that imagery involving their movement be removed from the biggest sites in the fandom. Stuff that has slipped through the cracks over the years as parody or just generally lost in the flood of content that happens due to our humongous creative side.

For the sake of not bumping regular pony stuff off the front page, I'm throwing the break in here. If you want nothing to do with this, I understand. For many in our fandom, pony is an escape from the troubles of real life, and keeping it pure is important. Know that while we will continue to post art and celebrate content that champions good causes, the site itself will not be turning into a world news site. We post ponies, and that will always be the focus.
