With Toy Fair behind us and loads of stuff to look forward to the year in both season, specials, and merchandise, we are going to go ahead and recap it like we always do. That was a lot of posts all at once, so a good amount of it got buried.

We are just a few weeks away from the big start to another season of pony! One thing most of us love most about this show is seeking out the many pop culture references they litter throughout each episode. In fact, the episode followup here on EQD was originally created specifically for this purpose.
There are so many potential ideas out there though and the staff at DHX have barely scratched the surface on satisfying that nerdy urge to see something recognizable from another beloved franchise. Whether it be a full ponification like Jeff Petrotsky up there or an entire scene re-imagined in cartoon horseland like the ending of the second episode of season two and it's Star Wars roots, the references will happen!
What do you want to see get a shoutout this time around?

After a few more ponderous and intricate pieces, Radiarc's given the more epic style of orchestral a go again. Powerful percussion, intense choirs and some lovely work with strings help to create an atmosphere befitting the king of darkness, Sombra, with some neat guitar thrown in too. Check it out below!

Happy new comic day everyone! Once again we have a brand we My Little Pony Comic for everyone to read about, but surprisingly this isn't the most important comic release of the day!
That's right folks! There's a far more important comic out on the shelves today than reading about how the Pillars of Equestria recruited Mistmane and Starswirl the Bearded. Even if Jeremy Whitley, Tony Fleecs, and Heather Breckel managed to craft a fun lively story the likes of which we have only seen before in musicals featuring singing…
I had best stop making that analogy or else I'll spoil the entire comic. Go check it out after the break.
As for me, I shall be reading the new Trade Paperback collection of Bodie Troll! See you after I finish reading that.

Another pre-release track from P@D's upcoming mega album, Rockin' is a post-apocalyptic party anthem of a tune. Centred around the idea of rebuilding from the fall of Equestria with a big party, it delivers the vibes courtesy some awesome bass house sound design laid on top of groovy percussion throughout the track. If you missed the news during Toy Fair, we have a new line of super high quality humanized anime stype figures releasing from model maker Kotobukiya. While the figures themselves haven't been revealed yet, the art they are running with seems to hint at some potentially awesome anime-style pony ideas they've been cooking up over there. It seems almost strange that they'd dive into a series of figures without a visual tie-in.
And so, good fandom filled with good ideas, we discuss! If, for some reason we did get an anime spinoff of Equestria Girls, or even ponies themselves, who would you want to star in it? Should we continue onward with the mane 6? Or is this a chance for the background ponies to get some spotlight, and Hasbro to sell additional merchandise based on them? Maybe a new cast entirely with a more progression-style anime plot line of a young filly learning about her newfound crazy anime power?

Quite a few people have requested we host dedicated discussions for each of these like we did last season when a bunch of synopsis leaked, so lets go ahead and do that! Every day at 10:00 AM PST leading up to the new season on March 24th (assuming news or something important doesn't pop up) we will have one episode and it's synopsis for you all to discuss. These were revealed a few weeks ago and have since popped up on many a TV listing site.
Since these haven't been released via Discovery Family highlights, they may be subject to change. But so far, the list has been completely accurate with all of the episodes that have leaked.
And as always, if you do not want to see season 8 information on EQD, be sure to hit the gear at the top and click the season 8 spoiler button, or grab it in the options on the app.

The Gameloft MLP game has dropped a small update off selling Iron Will and his crew of goats with a new promo going on at the moment. They also have a few different accessories and decorations in a similiar theme.
As always, they are pretty pricey, but you'd probably expect that by now in the mobile world.

We've had some cool remixes of this song already, but this one from strigidae is also a cover as he throws his own vocals into the mix. They fit his new instrumental excellently, and the whole track has a fun uplifting vibe. I especially love the pan flute-style synth towards the end. Check it out below!

Zizkil's electro endeavors continue with this super cool track about Trixie. Initially full of suspenseful strings and atmosphere, it then drops into some heavy chords that carry a lot of weight to them. There's also some neat funky sections later on, and more than a taste of interesting electro sound design towards the end. Check it out below!

Another beautiful piano-oriented piece from Sonic Hooves, the composition throughout the track is exceptional, and really gives the feeling of gently floating above the clouds. There's also some soft strings and chimes that help to give some more depth to the piece, but really the piano is the star here. Check it out below!

Recall the Time is a long running comic series that you've probably seen spammed here in the EQD comic posts after it's English translation was completed. The creator behind it has decided to turn it into an actual physical book, with 320 pages of full color pony action. At the moment, it's being crowdfunded over on Indiegogo with a pretty reasonable goal for a book printing of that size.

We don't get a whole lot of this sort of rock music, so it's cool to see two new tracks from AndNoOneDriving that both evidently have stories to tell. The first track here is about Scootaloo, and builds up steadily to some pretty heavy breakdowns. The second one is about Daybreaker, and does much the same sort of thing with a few different ideas thrown in. Check them both out below!

A new product from Enterplay has been slowly—very, very, very slowly—to DollarTree stores around the United States over the last month. If you remember what happened for Series 1, 2, and 3 of the My Little Pony: Trading Cards, it should come as no surprise that a VALUE version of the trading cards have been produced for the My Little Pony: The Movie Trading Card Fun Packs!

Sable Symphony's metal music is always fun to listen to, and this one about Daybreaker makes use of his different singing styles as well, showcasing a mixture of clean and screams. It's a pretty progressive tune, with 8 minutes of metal, but the evolution and story through the track more than justifies the length. Check it out below!

Lets try a little experiment here shall we? I have to admit, we don't get a whole lot of humanized or Equestria Girls submissions, but there are quite a few out there and every once in a while we do get a set. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to create a category specifically for this, along with some anthropomorphic stuff.
Below the break, get a selection of some of the best recent humanized ponies, Equestria Girls, and anthro. Chances are these won't be daily like the regular Drawfriend posts, but at least weekly.
We will, of course, still be doing regular pony art posts which you will find later. This is just for those that want this stuff.
I should probably also not that I won't be going too crazy with the saucy tag here. A lot of these are bikinis. We just had a beach episode. That's really not saucy.

Derpy Day returns for it's annual event on the 1st of March! While the history on this harkens way back to the early fandom when she was nearly deleted, we've gobbled it up as part of our yearly pony calendar to celebrate specific equines each month.
As with last year, there will be art, media, discussions, and more all dedicated to her. Hit up the submit box and title your email DERPY DAY followed by whatever category you are submitting to. Example - "DERPY DAY - Art". As always, we will have a training grounds style open art post for all who want to give it a shot, plus plenty of other compilations dedicated to everyone's favorite wall-eyed mare.
