I never get tired of seeing this image, because it always means something cool is about to go down. In this case we've got a bit of a wrapup from Bronycon, during which the Thank You Fund was able to raise $5,641. This means they'll be cutting Toys for Tots a six thousand dollar check this week, which I think you'll agree is exciting stuff.
Of course, The Brony Thank You Fund is about more than just its charity work (admirable though it is). They are moving ever closer to completing the first-ever fan filmed, fan funded commercial to air on The Hub and thank the Friendship is Magic series creators and employees who bring us pony year in and year out. This past weekend, they unveiled their selections for the faces to appear on the commercial. That is to say, our spokespeople have been chosen.
Look at the list. If you took a supercomputer and dedicated it to selecting the perfect assortment of people to put the fandom's best foot forward, it would burn itself out trying to outdo this group. On the off chance you still had any lingering concerns about what this was going to look like, check it out and be assuaged.

Bronycon sort of dominated the news circuit for the last few days, but over at Anime Expo, a whopping 500 bronies met up and did all sorts of stuff. Victor Frost here ran a panel during the festivities that essentially breaks down the way sounds are used within the show. His description says it way better than I can:

You may or may not have seen a million people running around with Welovefine shirts in those Bronycon Livestreams. One of our friends from Welovefine sent us a heads up on a deal they are running for the 4th of July to get 25% off all the Friendship is Magic shirts. This will only be available from 12:00 PM to 6 PM Pacific time (3PM through 9PM Eastern Time) tomorrow, and they will not be advertising it on their website. MLP: Online has finally gone into beta according to their official forums. It's been a long time coming, but it looks like our long running pony projects are coming to fruition. The forum post has a link to instructions, a bug report system and a link to the game itself which we will provide below in case the forum goes down for whatever reason. Updates are expected each Saturday so keep your eyes open for those!

It looks like the 4th volume of the Friendship is Magic Australian box set has finally popped up for pre-order. The release date is listing October 3rd, so we have a bit of time before it officially releases.
Sadly all the pages aside from "add to cart" 404. I guess we have to wait until it completely updates!
And just a heads up, this is actually region 4 only. If your DVD player doesn't support Region 4... import an Australian one! You know it's worth it!
