  • New Humanized Pony (Equestria Girls) Line Revealed by ANIBUS Japan

Apparently the concept of humanizing horses is NOT dead, at least in Japan. A company called ANIBUS has released a new line of shirts, standees, keychains, mugs, and various other things starring Twilight, Pinkie pie, and Rainbow Dash in hoodies. I hesitate to call them Equestria Girls since they don't have the colored skin we see over there, following more closely with the anime style Kotobukiya is running with, but they do rock that EG logo.

You can find the full store over here.

  • New Official G4 Pony Posters Released

The Japanese My Little Pony Instragram is still G4 themed, and they posted these posters that we missed a while ago. Considering those toys earlier included some G5 with G4, I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of rht emane 6, but it's neat that some countries still haven't really shifted gears yet.

Get the rest of them below!

  • New MLP Meets "Jenni Love Line Hits Japan", Complete with OC Pony

A fashion company over in Japan has apparently teamed up with Hasbro for a bunch of little products starring their OC and various other characters. If you are someone that needs to collect it all, or lives in Japan, check out the selection below. They also have some pretty cute regular pony art.

  • Japan Time Returning? Is Japan Getting Season 3?

Could it be? Is Japan Time returning to after all of these years? Thanks to some resourceful folks on 4chan they dug up the schedule on Dlife (part of Disney from the looks of it) and it shows the airing of the Crystal Empire Pt 1 and 2 as well as what looks like Too Many Pinkie Pies after that.

Japan Time was always a fun little way to relive the episodes as soon from another culture, especially one that is rather popular with the animation crowd over here. If the scheduling is real we might just have some future Japan Time pony posts in our future!

Thanks to Maik for sending it in! Check after the break for a screen grab and some bad Google Translate.

  • Japan's MLP Pop-up Store to Return on August 25th!

I swear, one of these days I'll be able to afford to fly to Japan for one of these events…

Right. Be bitter later about not being rich. Report on MLP news now.

For those My Little Pony fans in the beautiful country of Japan, you're in luck! The My Little Pony Pop-Up store will be returning from August 25th though September 7th! This Pop-up store will be located in the huge Japanese toy store Kiddy Land - Harajuku (address: 6-1-9 Jingu-mae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0001).

To compare the size of the store, it's about the same size as the former Times Square location of Toys "R" Us or Hamleys in London. This store is huge!

To celebrate the occasion, Hasbro and Sanrio have teamed up to produce limited edition My Little Pony/Kiki & Lala merchandise. Like Mugs, iPhone Cases, canvas prints, and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't identify on the flyer released by the My Little Pony Japan twitter.

In addition to the crossover merchandise, there will be other limited edition items available for purchase created by Hasbro's Japanese MLP Licensed partners. Like for instance a new "Summer Special" variant cover by s_bis for the Phase 6 Translated edition of MLP: Pony Tales Volume 2! And two canvas prints created in collaboration between Phase 6 and SEGA Toys featuring Sara Richard's covers for MLP: Microseries issues 8 & 10!

If you happen to find yourself in Tokyo between August 25th and September 7th, consider stopping by and checking this place out!

Now if only I could figure out what the QR code on the flyer is talking about…

Special thanks to Stinken1 and Ayu  for the heads up and the information!

  • My Little Pony Cafe Opens in Japan - Exclusive Comic Covers, Merch, and More!

The MLP cafe we announced a while back from Japan has officially opened, bringing with it exclusive comic covers, merchandise, and an overwhelming amount of sugar. It's like a candy store on steroids with how much they are pumping into this place.

I'll let the gallery do the speaking. Head on down below to check out what we are all missing outside of Japan!

  • My Little Pony: Pony Tales Volume 2 to be Published in Japan!

Greetings everyone! Today Equestria Daily brings you news out of the land of the rising sun. In Yokohama Japan, there was an MLP fan meetup today, and to everyone's surprise there was a huge announcement from Phase 6.

For those unaware, Phase 6 acquired the license for translating and publishing the IDW My Little Pony comic series after Village Books ceased publishing MLP Comics after their initial volume tanked. Anyways, the cover art for this volume, created by Japan native and veteran IDW Comic Cover artist S-bis, was revealed!

Isn't it beautiful? Love his work. I hope to meet him one of these days.

Like the original english version, this comic volume will collect issues 7-10 of the Micro Series. It has a price point of 1,800¥ ($16.51 USD). For those looking to order it online, it's not yet available to order on Amazon Japan (grumbles) but the ISBN is known and is 978-4-909434-10-4. So the book will be easy to look up once it goes on sale.

To which the street date is May 18th, 2018! Less than a month to go! Are you excited? Cause I'm excited! More ponies are going to be in Japan! And as a special treat for those who happen to live in Japan, you can find an order from for it after the break!

Special thanks to Sticken1 for the heads up!

  • "My Little Pony: Pinkish Cafe" Rides Again in Japan!

For those of you heading to The Land of the Rising Sun there will be a themed My Little Pony restaurant for you to enjoy! Having first appeared in 2015 (with a Generation 1 theme) followed by a return in 2017, the 2018 appearance will mark the third time a My Little Pony Restaurant has appeared in Japan over the last four years.

Only this time, there will be two restaurants in the country instead of one!

As reported by the Japanese online magazine Fashion Press, the My Little Pony: Pinkish Café will be open in the cities of Tokyo and Kyoto. While the end dates for the two locations are different, they are both opening up on Monday April 16, 2018.

Reservations are required for this eatery, so do plan ahead if want to stop by. All necessary information can be found online on Fashion Press's article.

After the break you'll be able to find an image of one of the tasty treats!  Also, if you're interested, try Google Translating Fashion Press's article… it reads like a Hasbro Press release for some reason.

Special thanks to our friends at Japan Ponycon for the heads up!
